Great video. For those looking for a good example of swamp rock in 2024, I recommend Larkin Poe's If God is a Woman. Even has lyrics about swamp living...

Way cool.. so many more combinations to be had playing like that! That dynamic between pick and fingers (like knopfler) really adds some great variations! But yeh Clapton's lay down sally! Haha thats how he did it! 😂 Thank you for the share 😎🙏🕊️✨

That dynamic between pick and fingers really does open up a whole world of possibilities, doesn’t it? Knopfler’s style is such a great example of how expressive it can be. And yeah, Clapton’s tone and technique on ‘Lay Down Sally’ is such a cool laid-back groove-glad you caught that vibe! Appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. Keep experimenting and have fun with it!

Sure does! I was working out so far away this week and had an aha moment when the main motif before the lyrics come in there's a very plinky short note but it's not sharp like with a pick but he was definitely using a pick at the beginning when I clicked.. he picked it with his finger! And lay down Sally I tried to learn years ago but gave up, so will have to try again! Thanks so much! Very inspiring 🙏😉👍 @@evergladesrhythm
