If syncing Gear S2 with a non-Samsung android phone, in my case, the LG V10, Milk Music does not even appear on the watch! The Gear Manager app also seems to be severely modified as only FREE watch faces and apps are available (unless I am missing something) Are you still planning to do a video about your experience with the Gear S2 with a Non-Samsung android phone? I'd love to know how much my experience differs from using Samsung phone. (more and more I sm lamenting the loss of the LG Urbane 2)

+Gabe Herrera You can control any music app. Pandora, Spotify, Google, etc. You just have to start the app on the phone so that the phone remembers the last app you used for music. You can then control it with your watch. Its more of a google thing than a samsung one

I have tried both milk and the music app and I can get the watch to act as a remote control the music on the phone but if I try to disconnect the watch on the phone it disconnects the app. I have yet to find a way to stream music. Also once they did the disconnect and reconnect that I've been unable to get the music to actually play on the phone. suggestions?

Hi. I just posted below. Did a search and the watch I have does not have a speaker - only the 3G has the speaker which is why I cannot hear music from my watch. I do not believe you mentioned you are using a 3G, can you confirm? Thank you!

Hi I just got my S2; trying to have Milk Music stream from my S2 without the phone but no matter what I do, it keeps searching for a Bluetooth connection. It says please connect a Bluetooth headset......I turned off Bluetooth on my cell and even turned OFF my phone.....no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

You have to run it first on bluetooth. Once your sure it works, then try it again but this time disconnect bluetooth, make sure that you have a 4g or wifi connection then test it

You have to connect to a bluetooth and then disconnect. it will then play over built in speaker. Some type of bug.
