Squad is very janky on UEVR, or was last time I tried it. It also needs a dedicated server just for the VR mod. Whereas RoN can be played with anyone and on official servers.

In the UEVR menu select input>gesture d-pad shifting select left hand gesturing. It let's you hold your left controller to your hand and the thumbstick becomes a dpad.

Yes it's possible. You need to follow the whole process and then use double thumbsticks to open the menu. Find the assets under player controlled pawn and find recently used. It'll have your gun there which is currently set to track your right hand. You can set that to head. I don't know why you would want to do this, it's so much better on your hand like a real gun

@magic1385 get a SkolVR gunstock. It's so damn good with a stock 😁. SkolVRs Smartstock is really well priced if moneys a thing. And with my discount it's even cheaper.

@@DeadPixelGaming I dont think it will be that easy. As your gun would be stuck to your face in a fixed position. The aiming animation wont be there. detaching all objects can give you full body but it is a little awkward to aim up and down with it bc the character does an arm animation which means you need to move your real head to adjust.

The belasky fork shows Trojan script WACATAC on my W11 and bitdefender…. Anyone experienced similar? UEVR was downloaded without virus detection.

Yep, it will do. It's essentially a file designed to edit and change the script of other files whilst they are running (or so I've been told). Either way it's safe, you can check to source code, take my word for it or just not use it 😁. Funnily enough I didn't have issues with Fork but I always have issues when I install a new instance of UEVR. BTW, you can go on the flatscreen discord and talk to the guys there if you're still unsure. Belowski himself can explain what's going in.

Lots of sub menus I'd suggest playing on phone while game is running. In this guide i also show how to set up voice commands for your team with VoiceAttack

It's working absolutely fine for me. Watch the guide through and make sure you delete your old readyornot profile before running it and injecting and importing the new one. The guide I made here was from a fresh install and the guide part was filmed before the demonstration at the beginning.

Was going to try this but Windows and Chrome is saying the UEVRBackend.zip is a virus. I guess its a false positive but why didnt you get that message?

I've set an exception for the folder I'm downloading it to. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in the tutorial at some point. My windows defender used to delete the file before I could even use it 🤣. If you have any concerns ask on the Discord.

Make sure you set server mod sharing in settings. And if there is head tracking issues with his profile I'd suggest it us a profile installation error.

EDIT: -> I just unplug my keyboard when loading in and it defaults to my Quest 3 controllers. My keyboard kept overriding defaults. Open XR is the ideal one. It is correct that as of 12/29/24 the Fork part is not needed. ORIGINAL POST: -> Is it correct that the "fork of UEVR" step is no longer needed? I was seeing that in the discord today (12/28/24). Also, are you infact launching in OpenVR and not OpenXR? I crash everytime with OpenVR but not with OpenXR. I still can't get the quest 3 controllers to work. Thanks for making the video.

I got it working! I was able to beat the second level solo in VR. My only issue that I need to resolve is the lock pick. How do I equip it? Thank you so much for this awesome guide

@ReactarooSkidoo it's great in VR isn't it? The lock pick automatically equips when you get to a locked door, look at a certain spot and then push A *Inthink that's the key*.

Hi DPG, it’s me again. Based on your vid I successfully installed UEVR for RON. thx much!! Quick question: the overlay showing your body and the DPAD on the lower left side is very much visible as a square where it’s darker than the rest of the screen. Any idea to reduce the darkness of that overlay? And could successfully try OpenXR? I am on Pimax. And Happy New Year btw. 😊 p.s. found a solution for the square overlay in the profile description on Nexus.

You are my goto person for RON and UEVR 👍🏼😉 I was told in flat2vr that selecting blue or read team in singleplayer is via command and dpad. I setup your suggestion with the dpad on left controller and move to left shoulder. Works great; but what is the command key??

The command key for each team should be the grip button. But can I make a suggestion that will blow your mind. Watch my guide on this (from about a year ago) how to setup RoN with Voice Attack. I play using voice attack which is always listening. I will say "red on me" "blue shotgun flash" and they do as I say. The pin has a really good profile for Voice attack too. It's incredible to play like that, really feels like you're in a swat team. Just remember it works by what your character is facing not your gun.

Hey! You know it's a shame because not a lot of people are going nuts for this, if it had more coverage I think they would because its by far the best VR tactical experience you can have at the moment. With this profile the screen will go black, but in VR it will continue as normal. You can use the keyboard and mouse, just put the controllers down. Both inputs will be detected and used. You can try it without the profile or backend and it should work with arms and hands etc, as you're using mouse it won't clip like it would with controllers. That being said, the best experience by far is with the vr controllers
