Fun story: Was playing with friends on legend- we're not great at legend but we try. We got got to the 2nd to last level, a cursed level where enemies had a CHANCE to split into 2. Okay, bit rough but we're managing. Friend kills a loot rat. It splits into 2 rat ogres. Then the game spawns a bile troll. During a horde. So, things didn't go so well.

Love your approach and how you cover the basics, what significance the map has, how boons work, mechanics of end of expedition, etc. I think a lot of creators out there tend to show off new content and barely mention basics, forgetting that there are some viewers that haven’t logged 200+ hours. also damage over time but heals on potions seems more of a positive lol the amount of potions you get is pretty large so it basically makes every potion a healing potion

To add a few things you miss in the vid. If you have spare coins for oranges then go for it, whether upgrades or randoms(preferably upgrade). There are some extreme bonkers traits that will make you a force to be reckon, like shard strike or tremors(this one i don’t remember the name). Shard strike will give you a shield that reduce a massive amount of damage and deal great damage to everything around you, when ever you kill an armored elite. Tremor give you a chance to knock everything around you down on the ground like FK ult minus the charge part. So yes there are OP traits if you have spare coins to try your luck.

An upgrading strategy that I follow is that I pick a weapon that I will temper. The other one I just pick the random weapon. Saves some coins but gives you power. And heropower is the most important stat in this game if you're not so good at dodging. Like I am. One notable thing for everybody to know is: There are invisible walls at drop downs. DO NOT JUMP DOWN LEDGES if your team isn't with you or you haven't yet explored an area.

The first time I managed to beat the final stage of the citadel on cata I was so nervous during the fight. I couldn't even think straight. Had tunnel vision and just kept dodging and hitting my left and right mouse button lol. Definitely an intense experience with what's on the line especially on cata

What i've noticed is that the boons arent completely random across all boons that exist. Its like game rolls on all the existing boons to involve in the game with a few parameters. Then you will see these boons during the game but no others.

When you get a chance, please do a strategy video for Chaos Wastes. As an example, I like to use Waystalker and Pyromancer as healers. Down a lifeshare potion, hit your ultimate at an oncoming horde of rats and you just healed everyone near you. Things like that. Also, any tips you can recommend would be helpful. Would going for boons early to try and get a good ability to give you some extra survivability be a good strategy? At my skill level, I tend to have a hard time until my weapons are improved to at least gold. Then the run becomes much easier. (Playing on Champion Difficulty)

Be me: Hmm today I'll try Chaos Wastes (clueless) plays ironbreaker, first curse is exploding skulls, lose half the bots to booms and barely make it to a weapon totem on next map, didn't read it was reroll and not upgrade, lose shield and get stuck with tiny axe, last thing I see is 2 minotaurs spawn one of which came from behind the group somehow and launched me off a ledge. And thats when I decided I needed this video

This was definitely helpful to understand the ins and outs a bit better after floundering my way through the chaos wastes my first time. Fatshark is really great about the FLC content they put out for this game.

so far the most annoying thing that happend to me were: waystalker+moonbow, rushing from the first map till the last, shooting everithing on sight and dont care if you can handle a couple of minion in front of you he just shoot it so you dont get any kills...and then I see what he wrote..."I got double shot boon" from there the rushung intesnify and you just walk through the map because the elf run forward killing everything...thats not teamwork but selfish muscle flex...we got a pyro on the same team with double shot and he stayed with the team, but the elf just pew pew pew and when I mention to him that maybe slow down and let us kill something he were like "oh hehe sorry that im ruining your funXD" ....pff

Green quality can give you the pilgrim coin boost as well though more often than not it's a very small amount, I'd agree and still skip green as the coin cost from green to blue isn't much but the power boost is a lot. The chest of trials also isn't guaranteed, the majority of the maps will have one but there is usually 1 or 2 of the maps in a run that won't have it, also maybe I misunderstood but when you were discussing the traits you said it was fine to skip on a trait to save coins, I assume you were talking about the traits in shrines and not from the chest because the one from the chest is free.

Is there a limit how many boons can be active at the same time? I noticed that there is a limit how many boons are shown and I'm not sure if it's a visual limit or if boons are replaced (which means not taking a useless boon at the chests). Good guide tho, I tend to go for Attack Speed and Crit Chance first because I think BCR is overrated on Legend if you can properly dodge, but that depends on the playstyle and skill of the players I guess.

I haven’t found a limit yet. I have noticed that certain ones seem to cancel out others though. Mercenary’s crit every 5 attacks will cancel chain lightning (or at least it did over the weekend).

@@WetMagic oh that sucks, the chain lightning is so good you really don't want to lose that D: But I've also seen the GK one more Benison and the Benisons are 50% stronger not stacking, hope they iron that out because it's annoying if you have to gamble if traits work together or not despite no obvious reason that it shouldn't. Friends and I just started the game, grinding our first lvl 35. Is there a good route to follow to get decent gear and what would you recommend? Atm we are playing the vanilla campaign. At what point does it make sense to go into the chaos wastes? Thanks for the videos helped a lot!

Chaos Wastes is probably the best way to gain gear. Every finished expedition gives you 3 chests+exp. You can go into the wastes at any point. Just finish the campaign once and then you can do expeditions.

And your gear level doesn't matter at all for chaos wastes. So you can just grind that at any level you want. Make sure you start doing champion(or higher) though once your gear hits level 200. Also only use crafting for when you have one or two pieces below your average gear score. Ex melee is 210, ranged is 211, neck 209, charm 210, and trinket is 195 craft a trinket because the game drops/crafts gear + or - 5 gear score from your average

Chaos Wastes is rough solo. Bots get overwhelmed so damn easily in survival fights... even with Ironbreaker / Mercenary / Witch Hunter. They can CC hordes but don't kill anything and don't watch your back! They even kill themselves in some events, like the torch poison thing and blood nados. Any tips on that? Worth noting that I don't have a single character max level and my gear level is ~220. Main elf and mage EDIT: Also bots can't pick perks >.

The only thing that helps maybe is buy often wepeon upgrades cuz the Host weps will set the bot wep lvl with withe wepeons Bots sux But CW is better with players and sry for my Bad eng

Sure it stands for block cost reduction. The more of it you have the less stamina is taken away by enemy attacks.

Quit playing this game a while ago mainly because I dont have friends to play with and quick play puts me at 200 ping sometimes mucj higher ( 400 ping ) and champ and legend is impossible on 200 ping well not impossible but frustrating and I just need exp and red items so yeah not fun thinking about trying it again and this dlc looks fun
