it's extra content on a second channel. The main channel will always have subtitles, this 2nd channel will not. adding subtitles is too much extra work on top of their existing work

Oh gods I have context for rural strip clubs. I lived in a part of the US that had a strip club called Big Bons that was in a town of 40 people called, literally, Rock, Michigan. It was ... not a great experience

I have gotten used to every video creator adding subtitles that take up half the screen on every video they make regarding games in the last decade or so, but I still tend to prefer not having them. I wish there was a way to have those subtitles as an option on platforms like KZbin, because I know i"m in the minority. I view the subtitles as useful and sometimes funnier than not having them, but they also distract from the video. Once I start uploading more videos for games myself, I think I'm going to make a second channel specifically that uploads the same videos - but without the visual effects for those who prefer it that way. Could also use the second channel to house things like minimally edited "extras" or things not appropriate for the main channel.
