Hey Frank, thanks so much for doing this - and for presenting things so clearly. My copy was delayed from today until tomorrow, and while this normally wouldn't matter, I am uniquely excited to check this one out. It is a title that seems to be THE game I have wanted now for a few years. During the viewing of this is when I first learned about how the skill tree works - bravo for coming up with something interesting and more crunchy than a straight path. Can't wait to get it to the table, and a full review will be coming.

Would you ever consider including 4 copies of the quick reference guide in the box? That way each player has one and can scroll through while they wait for their turn. Days of wonder did it with small world and its extremely helpful.

Please consider putting things closer to the camera when focuses on them. For example the two elf icons on the monster stat block in the bottom left are just two white marks for me. I'm on 1080p. Game looks cool!

I hope you make a City of Kings 2, but this time create a more large campaign style game. Everyone who has played this game with me are super disappointed they can't continuously progress with their hero. Many of the stats seem impossible to even get to max. Everything takes a very long time, and there is tons to do in it, but the game is over before you are even close to get any use of your characters potential. This game is beautifully crafted, with fantastic mechanics. It needs more. I need more. :)

Frank, I noticed when you bought the armor for Earthshaker, you increased his current health too. Is that correct? Similarly, when you discard a piece of equipment that has a health icon, does it just lower the maximum health or both the maximum and current health?

H00sierDaddy when you gain maximum health you increase your current health by the same amount. So +2 max health would also be +2 current health. When you decrease maximum health by unequiping then your current doesn't drop. The only exception is if your max goes below your current, then your current would drop. I hope that helps

Hi Frank. For a first game, would you recommend playing one of the scenarios or is there a tutorial story?

Hi Alex, I would recommend the "Desecrated" scenario, as the map tiles used, and objective set give a nice introduction to the basics of the game in a short period of time. There is nothing wrong with doing story 1 first, and if you have a full evening/session then it's a great way to start. However it takes twice the amount of time as Descrated, so if you're still learning and possibly checking rules, the first story might take you 3 hours as your first play. Whilst if you've done a scenario before, you should be able to significantly reduce that play time.

Hey Frank, excellent game mate. Really well done and looks fantastic. Been playing this for a few days now and played story 1 three times to try the diff characters. I'm a bit confused around the set up card when moving to story 2. The set up card says increase your stats by 2. Does this mean i keep my stats and equipment cards i received from story 1 but increase any 2 stat cubes between the 2 players or increase any 2 stat cubes of 1 player? Also when it says 3xp on set up card for story 2, does it mean move my xp back down to the 3xp mark or increase the xp tracker of my current xp after story 1 by 3xp?

Hey Mark, I'm pleased to hear you are enjoying the game! Each story is standalone, so nothing is saved between them. When you start a new Story you start again, so you can either choose a new character or the same one, but you set the XP back to 0, take the starting stats and so on. Then based on the story you follow the setup, so in the instance of story 2 you would get 2 stats to start with (on top of the starting stats) and start at 3 xp.

This game is crying out for expansions. Hope there will be. Hey Ezio, I'm afraid it is! When you get to that stage, you always have to flip the new chapter if the last one was completed.

I understand that you can't move a character through an unexplored tile to another unexplored tile, like you showed. But are you also not allowed to move to another unexplored tile if your movement starts on an unexplored tile?

HI @williamwilting2714, You can never move from an unexplored tile to another unexplored tile, so if you start on an unexplored tile then you must move to an explored tile. I hope this helps!

These games desperately need, that the board containing so many cubes , get a negative emboss, so the cubes don`t mess up if u accidentally push or move the board.
