I have both the King & Snake Oil Slides. They're great stubby slides. Stubby Slides are a must for the CBG!

I'm really digging this blues university stuff! How about a lesson on how to sing while playing?
@TheSTEEBOS3 жыл бұрын
Start off with an easy song that you have known the words by heart to for a long time & is easy to play. Basic 2 or 3 chord strummers are good. Practice playing until you have the rhythm & chord changes down. The less you have to think about the better. Think about the words in your head as you're playing. Listen to how they fit into the rhythm. At this point you just have to take a leap of faith and try to sing. It's not going to all fit together right away. Whatever you do don't let your rhythm hand stop. Practice, practice, practice. When you are finally able to sing along with that song practice it over and over again. Play and sing it every day until you can really belt it out. Then pick another song to try. Rinse, repeat. Eventually you'll be able to sing over more complex playing, but it all comes with time and practice. The more you practice singing and playing together the more the two become one. You start to hear and learn songs differently based on the where the words sit in the rhythm. You can do it. Just keep trying until it clicks. I hope this helps. ✌💚💦
These bite-size lessons are awesome. Unless I missed it in the past, how about one on the Hound Dog Taylor riff you did demonstrating the snake oil slides?

I just love theses vids Shane, make my day! Shame I have to practice in my garage as I make such a terrible racket - but one day I'll be able to play it well enough to be let back indoors by the wife!! Ha Ha Can this one be played with a fretted CBG and a using slide? 🎸
