Great tutorial. I play this song with solo regularly in a live set, clearly I've missed a few important details. It amazes me how Eric could ever have created such a solo in the first place. Hugely creative and perfect for the song. Thanks so much.

I'm just amazed how ''simple'' yet beautifully effective it is. Mainly just pentatonic stuff

Hey man. Just gotta say I've been stuck on this solo for a while. Just couldn't get the shape and rhythm of it. Your video helped me get through it. I have a bit of practice to get it tidy. You're a legend. Keep it up!!!

Jon Great Lesson...Learned it in a matter of days...One thing that was very helpful to coordinate with "your detailed lesson". "The Tab for this great song is on U tube"...which made getting the sequence of notes to the solo MUCH EASIER. Thanks again. Learning the rhythm i.e. the chord sequence in accompanying video was extremely helpful, the best, the way you broke down the beats of each chord to the bar.. along with the base line.. Root notes. Very clear and concise lesson Thank You..."Just a tip for singing...Nobody sings it like Stevie Winwood ... Spencer Davis Group 1966....No doubt Eric Clapton would agree....This can be accessed also on U-tube...."I was around the British Music scene at the time"

Tomas, you mentioned that the Tab is no U tube. This will be a first attempt at soloing for me. Would you identify where this Tab is.

OK Jon answered my own question...From the "published tabs"...Identified all the 8 Bars from the music sheet and the respective notes of each bar...Then just plugged in the chords of the 8 bars.. posted on the top on your backing track.. Now I have the identifiable framework" of the solo"...The rest just practice ...I now know the notes that belong in which bar and their respective chords..in the 4/4 scheme of things.

JON I learned the solo (ALL THE NOTES)...YOU NEED to PLAY the solo over the BACKING TRACK To be able to teach, and for us to learn the transitions of the solo over the 7 harmonic bars.. This would make learning it much easier..."Get lost after the 8 notes or 10? of the first bar. "That's pretty easy to do but lost in La La land after that first bar.. trying to figure things out. Clapton's live performance on U-tube his solo falls short of the classic
