Hello, thank you for this. I have loved this game since it came out and still have a huge library of cards. This was a great introduction to the game. Good instructions, and great swingy games that each revealed more depth to the game. You can tell everyone was getting into it as time went on and the mechanics were becoming second nature. I am so excited to see the revival of one of my favorite games.

This looks like a really fun game as a casual player. 1) I like a more limited board state to prevent information overload and RAM. 2) I like the use of dice to throw in a little chaos 3) the RPGisms make is accessible to new players and 4) It's refreshing to see that it's not an MtG clone. Excited to keep an eye on it- thanks for the gameplay vid TC!

I love how this game reminds me so much of Chaotic TCG but with heavy DnD flare and inspiration. The rolling mechanic that decides whether or not an Attack or Spell goes through is such an interesting twist on combat systems. I love how these two characters are so clearly defined in their strategies and shows in their gameplay! Great video, Covenant. I would love to see more gameplay videos of Warlord CCG!

This was my favorite game as a kid. I was so sad when AEG stopped publishing. Now that I'm an adult with adult money I'm ready to spend so much money on this if and when it's released.

Have the company guys done a Q and A yet? I was researching the game’s history and it looks like they had to do several resets in a 7 year period. It’s a little alarming. What are they going to do differently this time to ensure it has some longevity?

this was AWESOME!! I never played when it 1st came out. Thought it was pretty cool during Throwback Thurs. But holy hot damn this game just keeps getting better. thank you, Kingswood(?), for bringing it back. Thank you, Team Covenant, for introducing it to me!!! I can't wait to add this game to my ever growing list of TC subscriptions!!!

I've thought, over the past few years, that it was criminal Warlord didn't exist during a time when D20 based games are SO popular, and with almost all the other ccg's out there looking exactly like MTG. I'm so excited for this shot at a renewal of my favorite game of all time. I'll be the first one in line to volunteer running events in the Denver metro area!

I bought and played starter decks for this with my brother a long, long time ago as kids. However in my foggy memory this was an official DnD product from WotC, but i guess that was never the case.

Edit: they made a big update to the kickstarter right after I posted this. Hopefully it catches some wind, game looks great. They desperately need someone more actively managing their kickstarter page for it to be successful. I am excited for the game though

@@lystic9392 To respond to comments and to keep the page updated. They weren't keeping up with the pledge goal reveals for the first 24 hours which I'm sure cost them steam for their day 1 pledges. Also their lowest cost tier isn't showing up on mobile properly which is problem if the first thing most people see will be there $300 pledge and assume that is the entry cost.

You learned the one key rule about Nothrogs, they are BLENDERS. You let a Throg Warlord into the front rank and ready be prepared to loose at least 3 if not 5+ characters at a time.

I usually hate dice in any card game, too much random, but this one seems pretty entertaining mostly because of the DnD influence. The idea that the ranks themselves are like a pseudo resource system seems kind of neat. I wish this was an expandable game and not collectable. i'll probably grab the KS bundle and nothing else.

Question. At the 21:39 mark he plays the action Teleport and moves his Mistress Allandra up 1 rank. The Teleport action is a level 4 requirement, and the Mistress Allandra is a level 3 Wizard. So she wouldn't allow you to play the Teleport. Am I correct in thinking that his Warlord who is a level 5 Wizard would have to be the Character that is playing or casting that action? Thanks and really looking forward to this game.

If I am correct he can play teleport on Alandra becaus a character has always the character level + the rank row as his total level. So if he is a level 3 character that is in the first rank, he has a total level of 4. For example, you often equip level 7 or higher cards to your commander when they are in the back ranks at the beginning of the game.

@@Nahaufnahme24 While that's true for items it doesn't extend to actions, if I remember correctly form approx . 15 years ago. The interpretation from @_Bruzzi is correct as far as I know.

@nahaufnahme24 is mistaken. For items, it's (Character Level + Rank) = item you can equip. For skills (spells) it's equal to or less than your level. However, the wording on Teleport is different. It's not "Order: You move forward or backwards one rank", it's "Order: Target a character to move forward or backwards one rank." So the warlord could cast it, but target anyone.

Is there any print and play or easily accessible demo version of this game while folks ramp up for the KS and look forward to physical product? Is it just trying to find old product online, ebay, trade sites, etc, to get a feel for the game while watching the KS?

Question here, does the new printed Errata apply to the OG card if used in Ancient format. If so then Lightning Bolt in Ter-Soth is stupid good. Repeatable +9 Ranged for 2 wounds before modifiers of any kind.

"Youd need to roll 15 or higher 4 out of 5 times" you needed to let me roll for you. There is a reason rolling more than 2 consecutive 14s or higher at my LGS became known as "Rat Rolling", nickname was Rat. Playing against a friends Sceth Hellbringer deck. Sceth is a Nothrog Warlord who supports Siege characters, thinks like Ballistas and Catapults. Siege characters where usually Multi Wound High AC characters. Im playing my Tepheroth, Elf Wizard deck, and I play Magic Missile. Everything is 14 AC and higher. I roll for it and I hit 4 out of 5 MM needing 14s and higher. Round continues we both pass and reset. I win Initiative, play Magic Missile again, 5 out of 5 needing at least 14s or higher. Happens 3rd turn in a row with another 4 out of 5. We play a second game, this time I only play 2 Magic Missiles cause he didnt get as ahead this time, 9 out of 10 hit needing 14s and higher. Another incidedent after the "Rat Rolling" innagural debut. 2 Headed giant tourney, friends playing some Free Kingdoms Paladin deck, cant remember name off top of head. His AC is over 20 and I have a Free Kingdoms character with 2 +0s and he has 2 wounds, guess what the end result was. Yep I rolled 2 Nat 20s back to back to kill his warlord. As said you would of wanted me rolling that Magic Missile LOL.

Can you play a level 2 character from your hand into rank one or does it have to be the same level as the the character level , also could you play the same lvl 2 character into rank 3 if you wanted to

Level 2 Character has to be in rank 2 or higher I believe. But its been a while.
