I was very fortunate to get to see Alice in chains, with Layne. They opened for kiss and they were absolutely flawless! I never was a fan until I seen them. They opened with "we die young ". Was such an amazing performance.

I'm still massive saddened to hear about this. As if these guys haven't made enough money in their careers (and deservedly so). But to get legal with a band that's paying tribute to you just blows my mind. And to try to make the argument that the name is causing confusion...come on...let's not get delusional. If it were any other band I'd be a lot less disappointed...but Pearl Jam? I must admit, its caused me to lose a lot of respect for them. These are the guys that would actually allow fans to bring audio recorders to their shows back in the day when that was unheard of. Now, the Pearl Jam of 2021 is worried about a tribute band on the other side of the globe causing confusion over the name?? Please. Its disgusting.

@@musicmannsdwe know of other bands that were targeted too. We never had a problem with doing what was asked, but we just questioned the timing and approach. Probably not in the best way in hindsight but i think mistakes were made on both sides. You live and you learn though and there's way more pressing things in the world right now :-)

Again, had it been any band BUT Pearl Jam I'd be a lot less surprised/disappointed. I guess I expected more out of these guys. Just out of curiosity..maybe you know, maybe you don't. Maybe you'll say and maybe you won't...but do you know for a fact that this was run by the band and not potentially just an overprotective lawyer?

Oh man....maybe many subscribers aren't aware of the situation with Pearl Jam. I wouldn't have been either but I saw an article about the band show up in my feed saying PJ sent you guys a legal letter forcing a name change. I hate seeing things like this. What happened to the band from 25 years ago that wasn't all about the mighty dollar? Also irks me that these guys are STILL selling tickets to shows scheduled for later this year that will almost certainly not take place. Yet, they're happy to RENT you a concert video for $15 that you can watch for a couple of days before it's offline. But those are other topics. Sorry for both you and your mates. It has to be a major kick in the gut to get a letter like that from someone you love and respect. I think the new name is BRILLIANT!!! Hopefully this doesn't dampen your spirit for the channel or music in general. We're with you, mate!
