@@campfire_guitar_lessons no worries Mike, look forward to catching up with the recording. Technology eh? Gonna have some fun with This Old House. A contender for next open mic

G'day Mike.. Great tune. Had fun with it this afternoon. Can't get the g sus 4 but did a workaround. My fingers won't do it. Thanks my friend . This time the northern neighbors weren't snubbed😊

Wow, another nice oldie . We'll, for me anyway from early 1970s. Thanks for the zoom update. I got scheduled different and was busy with residents.

Thanks Tex. This one is from the 80s… a few folks have confused this with the Graham Nash tune, “Our House”, which was a 70s tune.
@texhaines99574 ай бұрын
@campfire_guitar_lessons yes, I am confused. BTW When I ordered my Martin 0000, I ordered a 12-fret with East Indian Rosewood and Engelmann Spruce (VTS) top to cut some of the bright. It was with the other Music Villa Custom Shop specifications including Golden Era bracing, scalloped Adirondack bracing and their binding. I also had a pickguard inlay my wife liked. That and my 12-fret D-28 VTS are some of my favorite Martin guitars. Well, I need to get ready for another Hymns and Sings (patriotic songs) session. God bless.

@@texhaines9957 would love to see your custom 0000! I am going to own a 0000 at some point… the last one was just too harsh-toned for me. I like your wood choices.

Nice one Mike. Graham Nash, living with Joni at the time later is reported to have said ...'Well, it's an ordinary moment. What happened is that Joni [Mitchell] and I - I don't know whether you know anything about Los Angeles, but on Ventura Boulevard in the Valley, there's a very famous deli called Art's Deli. And we'd been to breakfast there. We're going to get into Joan's car, and we pass an antique store. And we're looking in the window, and she saw a very beautiful vase that she wanted to buy ... I persuaded her to buy this vase. It wasn't very expensive, and we took it home. It was a very grey, kind of sleety, drizzly L.A. morning. And we got to the house in Laurel Canyon, and I said - got through the front door and I said, you know what? I'll light a fire. Why don't you put some flowers in that vase that you just bought? Well, she was in the garden getting flowers. That meant she was not at her piano, but I was ... And an hour later 'Our House' was born, out of an incredibly ordinary moment that many, many people have experienced'.

@@campfire_guitar_lessons As I thought... I have 2 Alvarez that have surprised me long after purchase. VERY long, clean resonance and such a nice playing instrument.

I’ve had this one for 2 weeks and it gets better every time I play it. Next for me will be one size up to their Grand Auditorium. The short scale on this OM is nice and easy to play, but limiting in some ways.
