Attention: I am a blackjack dealer who has all core games and Been a high limit dealer for years. Do not play if your goal is to consistently win. Novelty games should be looked at as high risk righ reward. You might smack a bonus, but if you want to win at a steady rate, minimum backs strategy on a good rule BJ table, baccarat, learning house edge for bets. Don’t touch slots. At the end of the day if you don’t care, know what you can afford and enjoy yourself.

Hey Heather, I have a question! Let’s say the dealer has a J, 7, 3 and I had a 10, 8, 6 different suit and I played. I know the play pushes, but Do I still win the ante even if i had a weaker hand than the dealer?
@VegasAces
@VegasAces 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Acar! Yes, you still win on the Ante even though the dealer has a higher ranking hand than you. When the dealer doesn't qualify (or if they have a Jack or smaller) then it doesn't matter what the player's cards are, the Play will always push and the Ante will always win 1:1.

Hi, can i ask questions about Betting? I we bet is Ante $10 Play $10 & Pair Plus $10 my cards is Straight 2,3,4 house is Straight 5,6,7 house is win, dealers is need pay my Ante bonus $10 1 to 1?
@VegasAces
@VegasAces 8 ай бұрын
Good question :) Yes, the Ante Bonus is similar to the Pair Plus in that, these bets get paid regardless of the Dealer’s hand. So if the Player gets a Straight or better, then they will get paid Ante Bonus even if the Dealer’s hand beats the Player’s hand and the Ante wager loses.

Got a lot to say. If you don't want to read a long post, move on. No need to nag me for it, trolls. You've been warned. (And I report trolls' nonsense, too.) So....... as with craps, roulette, blackjack, etc. (unless you are a great card counter in the game of blackjack who can get away with doing it wherever doing so is possible, and cash out money ahead on a consistent basis), this newbie game (new since the 1990's, anyway) is simply another table game that wouldn't be in existence if the house weren't kicking ass in the long run by dealing it. Whenever someone tells me what the house's edge is on any game, I always question their numbers until I can verify them for myself through whatever research may be available. (You wouldn't believe how much misinformation from the mouths of gamblers--and also, propogated by the casino industry itself--is floating around out there.) I have not yet done so with what the lady in this video claimed about the 2% house edge in Britain, and the 7-plus percent house edge in Vegas on three card poker, but even at 2%, that SHOULD be enough for the house to have what I would call a fairly "slim" LONG RUN edge--but one that might only become apparent after dealing vast numbers of hands. But that doesn't necessarily mean that I even believe what was claimed in the video about the 2%....... I supect the house's edge in three card poker could be MUCH HIGHER than 2%. But let's give that claim the benefit of the doubt for one minute..... Okay, then.......Let's look at it from the optomist's point of view about the supposed 2%....... Somebody, please let ME deal a game that offers me a 2% edge (with pockets deep enough to keep dealing it through whatever negative swings I must endure, as the casinos can) and I will simply keep dealing it until I've amassed enough money to retire. A 2% dealer edge (house edge) should get the job done to come out ahead IN THE LONG RUN--let alone, a 7-plus percent edge. Oh, boy, I'd be retiring MUCH SOONER, then!! However, it would totally NOT shock me to discover that the claim of a "2 percent" house edge is actually in effect a bunch of hokum, and that the harsh reality of the house's TRUE edge is something significantly northward of 2 percent--in Britain, and everywhere else. I need to point out right here that the claim of 2 percent was NOT qualified in the video by evaluating the sum total of players' ACTUAL play--or for that matter, the fact that MANY, MANY players DO NOT exercise optimal strategy in ANY casino card game--nor were ANY raw, hard statistics given in the video about ANY actual casino's hold in the game based on what has already transpired. All of that by itself makes me think that any and all claims COULD be bogus about the payback percentages. Talk is cheap. And talk about "theoretical" house percentages is EVEN CHEAPER. Just give me the facts, please. If you've got statistical FACTS to support your claims--and can do so based on VERIFIABLE TOTALS of actual money WAGERED vs. actual money EARNED by the house in the game in the casinos of Great Britain, Las Vegas, or anywhere else, I'D LIKE TO SEE THOSE STATISTICS!! In the meantime, I shall regard any and all claims of "house percentages" with skepticism--especially since it would appear that claims have been made that may not even be PROVABLE, since the X factor of player's bad play--which would CERTAINLY have an impact on the equation--WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED in the equation!! Additionally, my comment has a lot to do with how fast I've lost money playing ALL the casinos' card games while SELDOM booking any kind of a decent win--INCLUDING blackjack and Pai Gow poker, along with all of the other newfangled games that have come down the pike in recent memory. Now, maybe a lot of it is due to less-than-expert play--and I'm certainly willing to attribute a lot of it to lousy luck, too--but as a PLAYER of a 2% house-edge game, I would expect that after wagering $1,000 in increments of say, $20 on each available wager, I would still--on average--have $980 left in front of me at the end of that cycle. And then after wagering through another cycle of the $980 left in front of me, I would still--on average--have approximately $960 in front of me, and so on. My money should last a good long time in this scenario, allowing me to cycle and recycle many thousands of dollars in wagers into the game until all of the original $1,000 is finally lost. THAT. NEVER. HAPPENS. (Hardly ever, anyway......) Usually, NOT EVEN CLOSE. I'm often lucky to have HALF of my original buy-in left after playing through a grand. So, again, I question the veracity of touted "house odds"--especially since THE "HOUSE'S EDGE" TOUTED HERE DID NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MAKING THE PAIR PLUS BET, OR NOT MAKING IT. SHE DIDN'T SAY ONE WORD ABOUT THAT AS DOING SO RELATES TO THE SUPPOSED HOUSE "EDGE" OF A MERE 2% (or 7% in Vegas)--AND THE HOUSE EDGE CAN'T POSSIBLY BE IDENTICAL IN BOTH CIRCUMSTANCES--ESPECIALLY SINCE THE PLAYERS' WAGERS DON'T EVEN HAVE TO BE THE SAME FOR BOTH BETS..... AND THEN, THERE'S ALSO THE DECISION THAT THE PLAYER HAS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT TO MAKE THE OPTIONAL "PLAY" WAGER AFTER LOOKING AT HIS CARDS. I DON'T ACTUALLY SEE THE GLIB CLAIM OF A 2% HOUSE EDGE AS REALLY RINGING TRUE ONCE YOU START PEELING BACK ALL THE LAYERS OF THE ONION WHEN IT COMES TO ALL OF THE VARIABLES THAT ARE IN PLAY--AND FOR ANYONE TO MAKE YET ANOTHER GLIB CLAIM AND SAY, "WELL, THEY'RE JUST SAYING IF THE PLAYER EXERCISES 'EXPERT PLAY'(WHICH WAS NEVER ADDRESSED IN THE VIDEO, BY THE WAY) , THEN THE HOUSE'S EDGE IS ONLY 2% IN BRITAIN, OR OVER 7% IN VEGAS, THAT'S ALL", THEN I STILL TAKE ISSUE WITH ALL OF IT BECAUSE AGAIN, THE SIMPLE FACT IS, WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE PRESUMED "EXPERT PLAYER" IS EVEN BETTING THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY ON THE PAIR PLUS BET AS HE IS BETTING ON THE OTHER BETS--WHICH ALL BY ITSELF WOULD SKEW ANY "HOUSE ODDS" EITHER MORE OR LESS IN THE HOUSE'S FAVOR--AND PLUS, I NEED TO REITERATE RIGHT HERE THAT MOST PLAYERS DO NOT EXERCISE "EXPERT PLAY" TO BEGIN WITH--SO WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE THE CLAIM OF 2% IN BRITAIN, OR 7% IN VEGAS, ETC..? I've been playing casino card games AT THE CASINOS THEMSELVES since the 1970's--so I'm no dummy when it comes to knowing a few things about HOW TO PLAY THEM, and trust me, the rate of money loss that I've experienced for myself, and also, that I've witnessed when watching many, many other players play the casinos' stiff-ass card games is STILL disproportionate to all of the fanciful claims that I've heard and read about down through the ages, which tend to proclaim house edges in the single digits or even lower sometimes....... I don't really believe most of what I've read about that. You saw me say that I'd be happy with a 2% edge if I were dealing a card game. Let me qualify that right here though, by saying that I'd ONLY be happy with it if I were WINNING lots of money--consistently. And don't forget, I'm not a casino hotel. I'm assuming I'd have roughy ZERO overhead--and could therefore pocket that 2% profit. But there would still be significant risk involved at that rate. WINNING might not always happen with what is, in reality, a small enough edge that players COULD beat you up pretty badly for a sustained period of time if the cards don't fall your way. That's the danger of a mere 2% edge. It SHOULD make you tons of money IN THE LONG RUN. It could also LOSE YOU a very uncomfortable amount of money IN THE SHORT RUN, that would have you wondering if you really do indeed have "the edge". And hold onto your hat if you have to endure what I call "the two thousand year bad luck streak"--which COULD conceivably happen with a scant 2% edge in a card game. Like a 2,000 year flood, things may never be the same by the time it's over, and you might actually go belly up and find yourself DONE and unable to recover from circumstances that are anything but what might ordinarily be expected BEFORE it's over. In addition to all of that, if the house edge in card games were anywhere near only 2%, that 2% "profit" could--and probably WOULD--be EASILY offset by the casino's overhead, rendering such an edge "too skinny" to make that game worth dealing. There are myriad expenses involved in running a casino--and even though the slots make more money for the house than the table games do in this day and age, don't think for one second that the house is running a charity with it's table games. They're serious about showing a significant profit, there, too. 2%?....... The 7% is a litte more believable, but I'd be willing to bet that the reality of the ACTUAL MONEY won by the house in the game overall is even stiffer than that against the player in three card poker. The casinos just don't like to put out information showing that the house's hold percentage is in the double digits on any of its table games, because that would be enough to make a really big dent in the amount of play that any card game gets. So, let the sugar coating of the actual truth begin...... and for that matter, let the TWISTING, DISTORTING, EXAGGERATING, and FLAGRANT PERVERSION OF THE ACTUAL TRUTH by the casino industry in the name of raking in all of those almighty dollars begin!! Oh excuse me, that's right. All of that already HAS begun, LONG AGO.........

Why is there a "no-sharing policy" on Three Card Poker? Has this happened before?
@VegasAces
@VegasAces 8 жыл бұрын
It's to keep the players from guessing what the Dealer's cards are. Every casino is different but most have this no-sharing policy... Whether the Dealer actually enforces it or not is another story.

I've never found a casino that cares honestly. That is as long as the casino makes all players wait for all cards to be dealt for people to look at them. I think the kind thing to do is if you have like trip 10's, wait until the dealer is about to flip their cards over to say "I hope you have a ten" for the six card bonus of course. Most of it is up to the dealer it seems, I've seen the most A-hole dealers in the world enforcing rules that don't even exist, and no ones ever heard of at a casino before. I walked straight up off a table about two weeks ago because a dealer told my girlfriend they were going to "Throw her out" for having he cards off the table, they were not even off the table, towards the edge slightly but not breaking the rules at all. I was playing with other people though of course, one was a doctor, one was a lawyer, and it ended up with a big dispute, they were also getting called out for BS rules, the dealer acted like he didn't want to be at work, so the lawyer finally called the pit boss over and talked about where these "Magical" rules were coming from, and the threats from the dealer, the pit boss said no one had to be worried that the dealer might just be being "overly cautious" and if we were dissatisfied he had just opened a new table, we all swapped tables and won all night long, also the dealer we left never had anyone sit at his table the rest of the night. Also had a dealer tell me on three card poker once that I HAD to pick my cards up with one hand, that rule is non-existint aside from blackjack, where most casino's wont even let you touch the cards. I've seen it all, the pit boss is actually your friend unless you're cheating, had a high card flush dealer one time that paid me wrong, the pit boss stood back three hands later and watched her struggle to figure what to pay me, he said "Hey the pay table is on the felt". Don't get me wrong, I love the dealers at casino's they can make me be alright with losing a little, I always tip when I'm winning, but unfortunately a lot of struggling dealers are out there more than likely taking aggression out on people for mistakes they have personally made.
