I second someone else’s suggestion to react to Hozier (or even a guitar tutorial). He’s a very skilled guitar player and probably my second favorite artist after Taylor. The Mahogany Sessions live performance he did of Cherry Wine is my absolute favorite performance of his.

Thank you so much I was confused for a long time because everywhere they note this song as I - V - ii - IV but I always felt like I - V - vi - IV sounded better (and "closer" to the original) I could play it in D with no capo this way but it wasn't quite the same sound (good but not great) I tried to watch her play in this video but could not see it so clearly (it's not that easy!) so your video was very helpful

I wonder why she switched to Gibson in 2015. She used to play Taylor Guitars ever since she started her career. Does Gibson suit pop music more? Genuinely curious because those guitars were her trademark. Especially the sparkly guitar and the koa guitar.

Both are great for any kind of music. Gibson guitars have been around forever and have much more tradition than Taylor. I do think they sound better too, personally. More of a full sound than the bright high end sound that Taylor is known for. I find it interesting though that she made the switch.

@@DerrikRockne me too. And yeah, Taylor sound so bright. I’m a big fan of their 12-string koas😆. Interesting is that she went back to Taylor for her Red (Taylor’s Version) music video of I Bet You Think About Me. I know she still keeps them all. She’s been using the same Gibson J-180 since 2015 in black (and green on tour) though.

@@jamilboufarah not quite right -- she doesn't keep them all. She frequently offers a guitar to charity auctions and replaces them. The black one was auctioned after the Reputation Tour, so she got another. Some are in museums, too. I saw an interview -- was it Vogue's 73 questions? hmm don't remember. Anyway, she was asked how many guitars she had, and she said she didn't know -- some in storage, some in each house. . . . . But she does still have the 6 and 12 string custom Koas. And the blue birthday guitar Bob Taylor gave her was in the Anti-Hero video -- she played that on the SN tour.
