That part about auto attack cancelling is really what makes you realize a good developer from a bad one though. I remember a DOTA clone that came out had this funky thing where if you waited on the animation you would actually attack and do damage less often than if you perfectly timed your clicks because you would auto attack cancel for an auto attack. Obviously the developers did not intend for this but the game overall was a cheap clone. I can't remember which one it was though because I played them all and to this day just kind of stick with my Chinese RPG's.
