It's a Casio LK-220 probably in the $125 range. 61 notes, five octaves, usb midi and plenty of preset sounds. Nice for the videos because of the lighted keys . If you need the letters, I bought these at Office Depot for $5. You can make your own using file folder labels and cutting 'em into little squares. Try to get a package deal that includes the AC adapter - can cost you another $20 or $30 to buy later :)

Thank you so much for the compliment! I am always happy to hear that someone has enjoyed and learned how to play a song through my videos and website! Make sure you check the website every once in a while because I am always updating info (videos and .pdf files). Spread the news to your friends and make a request if you don't see a song that you'd like to learn how to play!!

I'll see what I can do :) I usually think of WTO from the standpoint of a trumpet - rather than a keyboard - maybe I'll use a trumpet or brass setting and see if I can duplicate a similar sound to the Rossini orchestration ... I'll at least give it a try - :)

Hi can u recommend a piano for beginners and what kind of piano should i buy to practice Turkish march or any classical music? Thank you
@LetterNotePlayer3 жыл бұрын
Keyboards are very inexpensive. I'd start with a keyboard unless you have a piano. I use 61-keys (5-0ctaves) for all of the videos. A full piano has 88 keys. You can also get keyboards that have 76 keys. Casio and Yamaha make excellent keyboards. I like the keyboard to be touch sensitive and most of them have a midi connection now - to connect with a computer. Depends on how much space you have. Piano and larger keyboards take up more space. I'd start with 61-keys and see how it goes; you can always pick up a piano or larger keyboard later. I use Casio LK-280 for videos now; the keyboard for Turkish March is a Casio LK-220. More keyboard info on the website under FAQ

I fully agree with you. I won't redo this video, but I need to add another tutorial showing how to play the next section. I will play LH on that A, right below middle C, rather than down an octave. It sounds much better with the A minor chord straddling middle C :) Good observation.
