frames is a measurement of time, so more = slower. the game runs at 60 frames a second, so for example a move that takes 30 frames to come out is taking 1/2 a second to come out. 15 frames would be 1/4th a second, etc.

I really appreciate you spending all the time creating this tutorial video. Honestly though, as much as I tried to pay attention, I found my mind wandering like it did in 3rd year Complex Analysis and staring through the screen with my mouth hanging open. I don't consider myself a stupid person but this game takes dedication and video game technicalities to another level. I so want to get good at this but I've already paid for a university education and can't afford another degree. Perhaps I'll just have to watch it all again...and again. And again. I should add that I've finished the tutorial mode and am aware of the basic syntax that is being used in this video. I played online for the first time the other day and felt like a cripple in a Mongolian cage fight. I was trying things like "offensive manoeuvre" and "up and punch" (on a downed opponent), although I do forget to guard a lot of the time and the second I remembered, I got thrown. I guess I just had to lol, and keep trying, but then I noticed no one wanted to waste their time playing against me and couldn't find any matches. Don't worry, I'll persist, and come back to kick ass one day.

You can side-step the 2P in VF as well, you can also buffer an Elbow after immediatley after you block it. 2P is good at low-level play since people's reactions aren't good or they still don't understand the the VF system. There are also crush moves(introduced in VF4?) as well. There are a lot of options to deal with 2P and every situation in the game.

SoCal crew is still doing WNF, despite what you read at EventHubs and other places. The turn-outs aren't that big but they do recordings and post them up, as they haven't been as consistent with the streaming for a little bit. ZeroLovesDnb is the YT where they have recordings and VFDC is where they usually do a head count to see how many people will show. They are doing a E3 meet up as well next Wed.

You're supposed to know by paying attention to where the match is going. Also take in consideration, which direction (usually back or forward) has there most damgaing throws and which ones are good for position change. Against Jean, I always break forward (if I happen to find myself at -10) because that's where his most damaging throws come from. I only break back, when his back is against the wall or end of the stage since that's position switch throw for him.

For the most part it's pretty cool, especially at the website. Just don't berate yourself and make sure to read the Wiki and Glossary before asking questions. If you still have questions after reading them just ask for clarification. Small communties like VF have assholes/griefers, but there are generally more people willing to help than hinder. Sega Cup was awesome and no one cared about the trolls that were there as everyone was just down to kick it/put faces to SN's and play offline VF!

Both files have to be in the same folder. My knowledge ends there since I don't know how to transfer the .srt file when you don't own the YT video. Maybe send a PM to the author. I think you should have mentioned about Open Stages and juggling someone out of the ring. Like sometimes you're juggling someone but since they're airborne and haven't fallen at a certain height, they're not "ringed out." But, since you keep moving forward in your combo and your foot happens to step forward to much, you're considered ringed out first although the opponent's character was floating outside of the ring for a little while. I'd say it's a common mishap at lower levels. Thanks yo.

Should I also watch the SegaofAmerica tutorial vids in supplement to this or is this vid enough?
@EXMrDandyJ12 жыл бұрын
In situations where you don't have to do it, it's completely unnecessary and requires more inputs, so I would say it's worse since there's a chance you will miss. In situations you have to do it then it would be better, since it works and normal fuzzy doesn't. The only reason to do it in situations where you don't have to is to create character movement to pressure your opponent.
@Megazone2312 жыл бұрын
