I have to say , out of all the KZbin guitar lesson teachers ,Chris is the best. He teaches it a few different ways, so no matter what type of learner you are you can figure it out. Some are audible learners , some like to see it played others want the TAB.

Chris please throw those tabs in every video they help a lot. Appreciate you making these videos man. You make it look easy! I've been wanting to play this solo in particular for years. Time to give it a shot. Keep on shredding!

Hey Chris, I just found your channel. I've been playing for about 15 years but have been away from metal and music in general for a little while, but watching and playing along to your video's I can already feel my chops coming back and I'm even picking up some new techniques from you. Keep the video's coming and I'll keep watching. Excellent stuff!

I learned this solo from the old lesson. This one is played a lot better and its improved. I can see how much progress you made with your playing. Well done! Cheers :) and thanks for the redo!

Early Lamb of God. Riiiiiight. Love the lesson though! Your videos always seem to cover small details I miss when playing in general, not just covering leads. Thanks for yet another great video!

This might be one of my favorite solos in guitar history, just the raw metal fusion with the blues. Even the rhythm guitar during the solo is amazing and fun to play, the triplets sound unreal. Good job man you absolutely murdered it! just picking back up my metal roots (26 now and used to play lamb of god when i was 15--18) and I am really excited to nail this solo down. might take a few days with the busy schedule though, but ill let you know how it goes!
@a.c.30704 жыл бұрын
Lare reply but did you ever nail it man?
@jordythebassist3 жыл бұрын
Gotta agree with you there, it's just straight up bluesy licks with brightness and then an insane build-up through the end to that high note being bent into oblivion. Mint 👌
@guitarman12ful3 жыл бұрын
ive never been a shredder so its taking me a while to get that last part down, been working on it for 2 days now and im nearly there. its just hard to get the clarity of each note since im not used to speed picking
@MatheusSouza-jo7eg8 жыл бұрын
Hey chris I will make a suggestion here as there's no specific place for that. Could you share your amp settings for every solo you do? Like just put it in the description It would really help people like me who doesn't know how to get a right tone. Nice tut as always men!

Amps aren't similar enough for the settings to actually make yours sound like his... If you have the same amp, then the settings would become relevant. Different amps... Tinker until you get something close, could very well be you can't get it even close without effects or additional pedals...

How on earth do you play pinch harmonics without a pick? I know PHs were literally pinched before picks were around hence the name but I can't seem to get the technique right.
@Simoran6 жыл бұрын
2 years late, I know, but what I can see is that he's changing his picking finger to the front of his pointer finger and then pinching with the thumb like normal. It's pretty complex and I know for sure I wouldn't be able to do it lol.
@anderskarlsson51455 жыл бұрын
you can do it by pinching the string between your thumb and pointy finger

Is it just me or the solo in the beginning doesn't match with tabs/lesson for the 2nd last part (d minor area, first bend, he plays half note slide in solo cover but uses bend in the lesson. I mean it sounds the same but the bend throws me off tempo while the slide doesn't. No nitpicking, probably individual thing. Please don't take it as a something negative. Your lessons are insanely good. Thank you.

Im learning this right now, and the tab has 2 redundant notes. You have to play the tab he plays kinda sloppy to not notice it. (in the ending, the fast part). Half of this run is a bit wrong, at least according to my ears. Can tab if someone is interested.
