How to play WALKIN' THE DOG - Aerosmith. Guitar Lesson / Tutorial.

Hey all! Well.... more Aerosmith, haha. What can I say, they're one of my favorite bands. I also do a fair amount of tutorials for my other favorite band, Pearl Jam, however few people watch them. The Aerosmith tutorials on the other hand do quite well here on my channel. Plus Aerosmith's early music is some of the most fun stuff you can play on the guitar, including this classic track.

I've been an Aerosmith fan since I was a kid in the 90s. At some point about 10 years ago or so my right channel speaker stopped working (Joe's side of the mix). I was pretty broke so I didn't bother getting a new set for a couple years. After a while of listening to Aerosmith like I always had, but now with only the left speaker working, I realised that almost ALL of my favorite riffs were BRAD! Not Joe! Really changed my whole perspective of Aerosmith, I still love Joe just as much as I always did, but now I really identify much more with Brad's playing as a player. The way you taught this lesson really reminded me of that.

One of the first songs I ever learned was Seasons of Wither from the first album. Early Aerosmith was a kick ass band!

Wow man! Awesome tutorial. I like that you aim it at people with moderate skill. Most tutorials are aimed at beginners and thusly do a lot of hand holding which makes for a much longer video. This was quick, accurate, and included all guitar parts. I dig your approach to teaching.

Speed it up. Start with a play of the song. Less talk more play. 8 minutes is a good number.
