You can also make an image of the original disc (using imgburn) and then mount that image to a new partition (using poweriso), right? wouldn' that work a lot more simple and efficient, and, in generally working for about any windows game?

In theory, yes, this would work on almost any game. There are a few games that seem to only want to run on a physical disc, but most of those games are for Win95 or Win98. So unless you're trying to do it with older games, it shouldn't be a problem.

I tired to copy the game exe from the cd to desktop and run it it seemed to crash when ran like that it seems as if there was some kind of protection put so we cant do it as easy as we think we can your maybe gon need a nocd patch tbh i bought the game recently and now ive got this.
