Your horse when he was playing with the ball I think that would be fun to play with
@RaagaA4602 жыл бұрын
It is so much fun to watch you playing! Your horse looks gorgeous when he is so happy. My pony and me love these sorts of play, too. Our favourite is "catch me if you can". It is a bit like your turn game and it even works with canter . Unfortunately he doesn't like playing ball as much as I do, but trying to catch me makes him really happy - probably because he keeps winning! :)

My horse walks really slowly on a lead. How can I get him to walk with me? Also my horse won’t stand for me to get on. He always takes a few steps away from my step. Can you do a video on these issues please.

Good to see so many things, especially Zoloft (I think I spelt it right) coming along with his temperament, and that appears so much warmer over there.

This looks like a lot of fun! I'm a beginner rider who's a few lessons into it now, and I hope to try this soon (if the trainers let me!). I'm wondering, what's the the purpose of the clicking sound you make when the horse completes the task? Is this to signal that they did it correctly, followed by the treat for positive reinforcement?
@JSHorsemanship3 жыл бұрын
Hi😀 Yes. The click is a way of marking the correct behavior. It’s bridging the gap between when I give the cue and the time it takes me to give the horse a treat.

You can also get a clicker for clicker training. They're pretty cheap on amazon.

I doubt that you have something for me but I’ll still give it a shot. Do you have any “games” that I could play with my horse? Now one thing you need to know is that he is incredibly lazy 😭😭

Hi there! I’m a beginner rider and we’re about to start cantering now, but I’ve had a problem with trotting. I’ve watched your videos in which you say to sit nice and tall while trotting but when I try to do that I get severe back pain while trotting. My trainer tells me to sit back and when I do that I feel like I’m leaning too far back. Do you have any tips for me? Thank you
@JSHorsemanship3 жыл бұрын
Hi😀 One thing that has been a help to me in my trotting is to make sure I have a neutral pelvis position and strong low abdominal support. I have personally experienced low back pain from having an inward rotation of the pelvis. An inward rotation of the pelvis puts a lot of strain on the hip flexors and can negatively impact the sciatic nerve. To solve this problem for myself I worked a lot on strengthening my abdominals and learning loosen my thighs. This was especially important for me in the sitting trot. Doing this took some time but was worth the effort :)

My horse is really stubborn. I treat him with love and he shows me his teeth 😔..what should I do
@RaagaA4602 жыл бұрын
I would start with really tiny things your horse likes to do anyway, reward with honest gratitude and release, maybe even bring him to the pasture, which should be the greatest reward ever. Let him think! And then, very carefully and slowly, you can ask for more.

Bringing in different items is great for preparing them for trail riding. I boarded one place where they didn't want the farm dog in the area. (He was a very nice, non-aggressive dog) I told the owners he was fine, and I didn't want the first time for my horse to see a dog to be out on the trail. What was funny was they had a peacock at the time, and when they open their tail, they flutter it - that will make your horse's eyes come out on stems! One caution; young horses don't know that they can't be rough with you and play like they would with another young horse.
