Hi! My baby is 5 months old and doesn’t roll over yet he still hates tummy time what would you suggest ?
@CarnahanFam4 жыл бұрын
Hi Charlotte! To be honest, our little girl had pretty bad reflux and hated tummy time too! The best thing you can do is offer tummy time in small doses as often as your baby will tolerate. It helped us to switch up tummy time so it was less of a fight. Doing tummy time on your own belly so baby is looking at you is a SUPER good one! Laying down right next to baby so your face is right near theirs and singing songs and making engaging facial expressions can help as well! It's tricky but even if you just try for a minute one day and then maybe a minute and 5 seconds the next day, ever time you'll see progress! Sometimes it helps to allow baby's tummy to settle after eating as well before trying tummy time! Sending you and your sweet 5 month old hugs! ❤️

Great video my little sister is gonna be 5 months old just tmr! She isn’t sleeping in a crib yet tho (she has one) should she be? Also how can I know if she is left handed or right handed!
@CarnahanFam4 жыл бұрын
Hi Crystal! Thanks for being here and supporting our channel! The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends babies should sleep in their own crib or bassinet in the same room as the parent for the first 6 months or year and never bed sharing for SIDS prevention. We personally place our babies in their cribs in their own room with baby monitors to monitor their breathing as soon as we feel comfortable to ensure better sleep for both mama and baby! 💞 As far as left & right handed goes - that preference will show much later in the next several years! Babies will typically switch off for quite some time so don't worry about which hand the baby will prefer for now 💞

@CarnahanFam3 жыл бұрын
Our baby had severe reflux and sitting was the best position for her as recommended by her pediatrician, her developmental specialist and what we found as her parents best fit her needs. Each baby is unique in their journey of development and we trust that we always have and always will continue to do what is best for our kids. You have the choice to do that with your kids also! Not to mention sitting is developmentally appropriate for her age range. Best wishes to you and your family ❤️
