My gaming group has been waiting for this since they announced it. We've been playing Warhammer 40k RPGs and Warhammer Fantasy RPG's for decades now. I still have fond memories of our Rogue Trader game, where we all helped build the Victris Rogue Trader Dynasty from a single small Q-ship freighter up to an entire armada of ships, led by an ancient, archaeotech Grand Cruiser called the Aquila Aureus, and our Deathwatch game, in which a single squad of space marines operating covertly on a planet long-lost to the Imperium single-handedly brought the planet to heel and reincorporated it into the Imperium of Man. Pro-tip: when the Dark Angels Librarian gets access to Telepathy disciplines, you can kiss your secrets goodbye.

I adore Warhammer 40k and have been looking forward to Wrath and Glory since I heard it was a thing...that being said there are a lot of issues with this game. The biggest being balance, tier 2 Psykers can just decimate tier 2 enemies with Gout of Flame, it hits INSANELY hard and requires a Willpower test to act and an Agility test to put themselves out. That's just off the top of head, it's a solid first pass but I feel like if they had actually play tested this it would have highlighted a lot of these issues. Other than that melee weapon skill attacks uses you Initiative not strength or agility and the damage types are confusing as hell (soak, shock, and wounds are weird).

Great video I have read through the system now, and it looks like fun for one-off games and short-term campaigns. Very simple system to learn for anyone familiar with d6 pools. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like a good choice for a long term campaign to me. Seems a bit too D&D 4.0 for my tastes. It is too forgiving with no long term consequences for the PCs. It feels like a video game on tabletop

I'm not getting it. How does shock and soaking actually work? When you take damage are you gaining shock or losing it? If it's gaining, Is your characters shock score a hard limit or can it be exceeded? Can someone help, please.

Daemon is pronounced the same as demon. It’s an archaic spelling of the word, but is still used in certain fields today.

This was an interesting starter and I look forward to the rest of the series to see how this game handles. However my biggest question is, does this have Orders Militant included in the base game? I understand you'll go into detail about character creation and that in another video. However this will be a sticking point for me in considering buying the product or not. I'm a fan of the Sisters and feel they get the shaft to much from Games Workshop.

I had to look this up and at least The New Oxford Dictionary agrees with you. I might have a hard time changing my thoughts about this and might continue using "die" because "dice" as singular just seems wrong to me somehow. Hey Taking20! I just found your channel today and have really been enjoying your content! I have a quick question for you about DMing that I hope you can help me with. I have some local friends/family who are thinking about getting into DnD, but there are no existing groups in the area and nobody in our group has much experience, if any, playing tabletop games. I used to write stories and love creating villains, so I'm likely to be the DM for at least the first campaign or two if we do start a DnD group. The problem with this is that I've played only about 10 hours of DnD ever. Is it even possible to be a decent DM with so little experience? I'd love to start a campaign, but am uncertain if it's realistic to do so. I'd really appreciate your advice on this. :)

Another dice pool game... I want to see the Warhammer 40K setting with a BRP mechanic! Basic roleplaying rules are so much more smooth than any dice pool can ever be, and also, it has passions and traits (as in the King Arthur Pendragon game). It absolutely outshines this thing immensely!
