@@TopTennisTrainingOfficial Thanks for the reply! I would like to learn to make more short angels, on the forehand and backhand side! I saw Federer doing this live in action...with his forehand on the run..just awesome! And very difficult to defend against)

This is perfect and exactly what I need to do! Great video straight to the point👌🏼 whenever I practice or rally with my coach and friends I do great and make amazing shots but as soon as I enter a match of any kind whether it be practice or real my level of play decreases because of my nerves and I get too scared and tensed up to make or go for shots and I end up losing to players that not to be rude but really aren’t all that well. I’ll definitely practice what you said in your video! Thank you for the advice

Hi Simon, First of all I have been following your lessons for about 2 years and I believe that I have improved a lot. Thanks for your advises and assistance. Next I would like to ask about the steps for performing a good strait/parallel shot. After I introduced the body turn to my forehands and backhands I saw a lot of improvements in most of my shots (if not in all). But I feel not so comfortable in doing a strait/parallel shot when I have to put pace in the ball (attack). It ends up being a little bit cross court and left me exposed. Or it goes out in the side line because of this fear of not being enough strait. What is the correct approach for these balls? If I would answer I would say that you need to do: go more into the ball and do a shorter body turn. I have listen people saying that you need to be a little bit more late in the ball but I personally do not agree (you are losing time by doing that). What are your thoughts? Best regards

How do you compare playing practice tie-breaks vs practice sets to improve match play?
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Tiebreaks are fine if time is an issue but playing a full set or match is better in my opinion as you're going through actual game scoring etc. Thanks for watching All the best Simon

Excellent theories, but reality is a different thing. There are a lot of other psychological parameters you must control and solve first... Anyway I'm a coach playing 37 years for my students-players and NOT for me, so it's almost impossible to change "coaching" mentality to antagonism...

Yea umm... I've got a problem. In less than a month I have to play for my place in the team. If I don't make the team I won't be able to compete and for the rest of the year I will only be able to train and practice. I can't go and practice to make the team because the courts are closed and my hitting partner is going away on vacation. So how can I train.... What should I do? Btw great video!!!!🎾
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Hi Bianca You should check out this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aajMo4ZumtaJj6s There are still ways you can improve on your own, however to practice serves you would need a court. A wall would be the best option for groundstrokes unless you have access to a ball machine. Good luck and all the best Simon
