In G1 crashing the Gorz token with Catastor isn't an option because the token is a Light.

Nice video! I really like and very much agree with this way of playing the deck. Here are a few things that I would've done differently (Of course, this isn't to point out misplays but to discuss the most optimal lines, obviously in a real game with time \ stress \ tiredness the situation is different) At 3:30 I think I would've gone for the set 2 Yata pass. Gorz, Call and both Yata's are all minus 1 until you end up using them and mind control is a reactive card that's not usable at the moment. Call especially has to be used after Gorz so our hand is very problematic. So in my opinion the best option is to use Yatas and Gorz as soon as possible and not try to be fancy. The Tomato plays not only into Ryko but also into Caius\Raiza, whereas by not setting it we're only punished by Spirit Reaper (which isn't that bad since our hand isn't playable anyway) Even if it's a recruiter, I think we have to summon gorz, maybe sit on it in defense. But I don't know, it's hard to tell the best play here. At 5:40 You should've chained Yata to book but I'm sure you noticed it after reviewing the game. At 9:25 I think the situation is very difficult. Since we know he searched Lyla we can't rely on Call staying or Prison. One option in my opinion would be to use Call on Plague, normal Tomato, make a Lv6 Zombie, then use plague to stack mind control and make Colossal. Since neither player has warriors, you can crash into Tytannial and then revive and attack Stardust then set return. The only issue with that is that we leave him with Lonefire, but I don't think there's any plant he could get that outs colossal. Another option would be to crash tomato into stardust first to get goblin zombie for a search when you make a synchro, but I don't think that get's you anywhere. At 12:00 Game 2 I think you always set Pyramid because you have Zombie Master in hand and you could potentially draw Book of Life, whereas tomato doesn't do anything for you in grave, and can be an Allure fodder if you happen to draw it. At 15:40 I like how you went over all the options, I totally agree that the deck is hard because of those situations. I'm not sure how much it matters to get another search off of Goblin since we have all the good zombies in our hand anyways, you're only gonna search Spirit Reaper. On the other hand Ha Des in rotation is good with Mezuki, it turns off Amaryllis like you've mentioned which let's us keep Crow for Debris which is the only topdeck we care about. We have Mirror for a 3rd Tytannial. So I think that would be the best play (Master pitch plague make Ha Des, but not using plague yet) I don't think he has a way to out Ha Des with Mirror Force and DD Crow, and even if he does we have Mezuki. Specifically because they only have 2 cards. And last turn since he made that minus play (He had to get Lonefire to the Banish to make DDR live) we know his hand isn't ideal. Game 3 At 25:30 Where you discuss about the options to go for game with Solemn I really like the train of thought here. However I do think you should attack with both recruiters and even summon the 3rd. IMO you can make a safe read that the backrow near the deck is NOT Mirror force, otherwise he would've used when both recruiters attacked after Nobleman. My thought here is that we have 3 recruiters and as long as we keep at least one to play around Skill Drain we're good, so we really don't wanna lose all 3. So if he uses Torrential on summon we Solemn and we bet the other one isn't mirror. If Torrential is the backrow near the deck, and the new one could be mirror we can switch one to defense. If he does nothing we Solemn Mirror. Since we saw Books, MST, Call in the previous games, it's far more likely that he has one of those than the 1 of mirror force. The issue I have with what you did is that you still used Solemn, except you let them draw additional 2 cards that could've helped them get out of the situation, more turns to draw their own judgment, mirror, torrential. All just to keep the tomato in hand that does nothing

Multiple fantastic points, I will have to rewatch the game again. The last point regarding the mirror force play summoning into the torrential then attacking I lose to mirror force. It’s true he had an extra turn but I also draw an extra card myself. I would have to rewatch many of the other plays you pointed out. The real point of the video is to not synchro summon every turn or play a card every turn just because you can. Sometimes holding cards is better your opponent has to make harder reads and feels the pressure when they are staring down a hand of 6 all the time. I see people setting multiple recruiters for example. It’s often not needed. I play far better in tournament play I probably should have used a game from there rather than trying to play and record (recorded while I played but my video paused so just redid with voice over) some may argue that if your playing fun games you should always play correctly and that’s a great view. When I’m not playing tournaments I play a match or 2 and play a little loosely just to unwind a bit. I will rewatch the time stamps and evaluate the plays your suggested. I appreciate the comment.

​@@beastmode123 Yeah man I think the point you wanted to make came across perfectly. I'm just enjoying looking at complicated game states and finding the best line like a puzzle, but this isn't to take away from the lessons taught here. Obviously playing a game for fun after work is not the same as pausing and taking infinite time to analyze while fully rested to see obscure lines, like you said in the video. The fact you explain the train of thought of not just "see card use card" is the important thing. Looking forward for more videos like this.

It is good to prepare and practice so you can identify complex lines during tournaments because you can spend 10 minutes doing it. They do come up during a deep tournament run.

@@beastmode123 It was actually Damage Step where Rykos effect activated, wasn't it? And in Damage Step you can't activate any effects except Quick-Play-Spells or cards which modify ATK/DEF stats like Honest or Kalut if I am not mistaken. And also I have a question to 26:03 They activate D-Prison and you CL2 Solemn, so obviously they can't CL3 Book because you only can chain CounterTraps to CounterTraps, but he activates Book AFTER the Chain is over, right? (which means his book is CL1) So apparently there is a window before the attack actually "hits" where you can start as much chains as you want? And would it also work the other way around? If he first activated Book and you would CL2 Judgment and after that he activates CL1 Prison before the Attack "hits" ?

you actually did have plays g1 against amaryllis. a couple different options. you could have top decked RFDD summon plague, ns tomato, crashed tomato into stardust ss goblin, goblin attack over token, plague over other token, then coth tomato and either crash into stardust for other goblin or if you dont want to go down to 600LP just kill lonefire. now board is plague + goblin + goblin (or goblin, tomato). now you mind control and take tytanial and they can choose to negate or not, they probably would. then you m2 SS brio and search mezuki, pitch to bounce stardust and your board is now goblin + brio and you still have D prison set. maybe you lose maybe not but there were options

This is the coolest deck in the format precisely for this reason, because there’s no way anyone can see these plays. Also, I paused your video to think through this play. If I were sitting at a table at a tournament I would definitely get nervous for taking too long and end up fucking it up. Anyways, if they do not negate m2 mind control then you actually just win bc you go brio then pitch 2 to bounce stardust and tyt. Beast mode you are the man, I am not hating and love your videos. If thousands of ppl were watching me play trust me there would be a lot of feedback on plays I missed. The reason I watch your videos is bc I want to compete with zombies. Cheers man.
