The Extra Monster Zones used to be lot more confusing, but 2020's Master Rule Revisions made things much easier. Before, any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck must be summoned to either the EMZ, or a Main Monster Zone that a Link Monster points to. Now, this restriction no longer applies to Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monsters

Nice vid, also would put Treeborn Frog can keep redeclaring summon. You Can Oppression it, but it'll still come back. I'm sure it's already known, but I ran into a situation where it came up

The reason the CyDra, Oppression flip up, CotH, can't Oppression again scenario is the case is due to the fact that Continuous Spell/Trap Cards do not have their effects applied until they resolve (as cards). This has always been true (in fact, it was probably the reason why pre-2008 you couldn't use activated trap effects in the same chain link), and the only thing that changed in 2008 was allowing you to use an activated effect of the Continuous Trap Card at its activation (but only in the same chain link). I just hope Konami doesn't in the future go "Hey, remember that time we let Continuous Traps use their effects in the same chain link that they're activated? *Let's do that again, but for Continuous Spells. Viva la Valhalla!*"

Hello, great video. when it comes to fulhel vs ryko, is it possible to use fulhel eff on itself even if i don't have another saber monster in grave? i think it's possible since flip effects activete in sub 6 and fulhel in sub 7. But at my locall all duelists tell me it's only possible if i have another saber in grave, if i don't it's not possible, can you help me clear this doubt please? 🙏 thanks in advance bro

Hey another great Video :D Didnt know about the ryko let's cards misses their timing ,that's a big issue 😅 One ruling I'm confused of is, when I have to traps face down ,f.e. mirror force and raigeki break , my opponent has solemn judgment set and attacks me directly , i chain mirror ,he solemns ,can I chain raigeki break after the solemn and I don't get the battle damage?

yup since you're still in battle step. doesnt work if u activate raigeki break on attack declaration tho, mirror can not be used after that

Make sure to note Ryko making effects miss timing only applies to "when...can" cards like dupe frog and dimensional alchemist. Stuff like Sangan, card trooper, Dandylion, etc. will still get their effects if destroyed by ryko!

you cannot activate brionac or prisma in edison format under macro cosmos. Honest can return to hand but it cannot be discarded for its effect

However, when the effect resolves, the name does not change because the card wasn't successfully sent to the Graveyard (due to the card being removed from play instead).

Question for you guys! I normal summon Swap frog and ask "are you negating the summon?". Opponent says no. If on summon, I opt to NOT use my trigger effect to dump a water from the maindeck, can I call priority to instead activate the effect to additional normal summon, bouncing himself/another monster as cost? Only a nitpick, priority still exists till this day. In fact the chart that is used to indicate when things can be activated is the same. The only difference is that ignition effects can be activated as a response to an open game state, I.e. summon of a monster, whereas now it’s only s/t I.e. your own torrential as chain link 1. It doesn’t even have to be the monster in question being summoned, for instance you can cannon soldier a monster you summon as chain link 1
