I have very curly Hair. Ploping does not work for me. I brush my hair upside down in the shower with conditioner in it, then apply the gel in the shower, I SCRUNCH a lot. Then after it is scrunched I take a t-shirt and I will scrunch more water out of it. Then I take the T-shirt and I wrap it like you would with a normal towel. I then normally do my make up routine and get ready for work, I take my hair out of the t - shirt, then I will defuse my hair low heat low blow pressure. Once it is really dry.. I DRY scrunch upside down, where you scrunch all the crisps out of the Gel. Dry scrunching is KEY for my hair.. It fluffs my hair and makes it looks amazing.

I usually bunch my wet hair, with product in it, together, and use a large butterfly clip on the top of my head. I sleep like that, and in the morning, I take the clip off, and I have my curls. I use the same clip to "pull up" the roots that the clip/hair sat on all night to give some volume - for an hour or so, and take it off before I leave for work. I will definitely try plopping as opposed to this, and see which I like better :)

I have never tried plopping because I was scared of my hair looking more crimpy than curly, but I will have to try this on a day I don't have to go anywhere just to give it a test run lol. My way isn't totally green, but I just use a hair product designed for curly hair and a tiny bit of gel just for hold, scrunch it up and let it air dry. It gives more of a scrunched look than curly, but most days I don't have patience to actually curl each piece as you do :)

I just plopped my hair for the first time. I watched a few videos before I was able to actually get my plop nice, tight & looking like all of the other plops. Your video really helped to clarify what to do. Thank you! Unfortunately it's noon here so I won't be able to leave it long enough. Can't wait to try it throughout an evening! Thanks again. You helped me so much. I am hoping to see a little bit of results for the time I am able to do this.

Beautiful hair! I don't see how any of these other ppl are saying your hair isn't curly. My definition of a curl is anything that curls into a loop. Wavy hair? Meh, not so much curl as much as just curves. I have naturally wavy hair that I love! Just for fun lately though I've been looking at heatless ways to curl hair. The Luxy Hair channel has a ton of great tutorials and ideas! And yeah you're going to find some crazy stuff, but as long as it works right? XD A friend of mine and I did headband curls this week and we loved the results!

Girl, you and I have the same type hair. Mine is long, thick, and curly. I feel blessed to have such thick hair as I'm sure you do. (We'll probably never have thinning hair, that's a good thing!) But, the process we go through is certainly not for anyone without patience, lol. Over the last couple years I've resorted to washing and then twisting into a bun style with a clip while wet/damp. I wear it like that even after it's dried alot of the time just because of time restraints and it's so much easier to just have it up! :)

When I was younger, I did the blow dryer version of plopping. I would add product to my damp/wet hair, flip my head upside down and agitate the roots, then use a diffuser to blow dry my curls in, scrunching them up as I went. I know use Ouidad and twisting, or the plopping method (but I don't love it, as my hair holds too much moisture through the night.)

+kaleidoscopicmind5 I get traditional hair dye blonde highlights and my hair stylist is very careful not to touch my scalp with the dye. Well for anyone who has "wavy" hair sure this could help them. For me as a curly haired person this didn't help I didn't gain anything from this video but thats besides the point what I'm trying to say is I'm not hating I'm stating out the obvious. There are a bunch more comments out there talking shit about her why did you feel the need to respond to mine?
@rachlyn877 жыл бұрын
Shanice Harris a lot of people with curlier hair than her still plop and use flax seed hair. And for curly people just starting out this video could be very helpful. Just because you know what works for you and maybe this doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's not useful. FYI wavy hair is curly hair, it's just a looser texture. It's definitely not helpful for anyone for you to be so rude in your comments.
@shaniceharris88297 жыл бұрын
Rachel Rheinecker There are three categories of curly hair one being wavey, kinky and of course curly hair. I don't see what's wrong with stating out the obvious clearly she has "wavey hair." I never said this wasn't going to work on anybody. What I really meant to say was this doesn't work on my type of hair. I don't see why people are going all off on me. This shouldn't even be happening, why can't people like you just let me post a comment and go.
