I never thought Id be so confused on how to polish diamong plate...I have too many methods to choose from. Do I use the angel grinder with the cotton wheel? Do I use the smaller cotton wheel on a die grinder? Do I use the dual action angle polisher with the wool pad? Do I use noxxon? Do I use some super duper fancy bottle of stuff? Do I use Dialux (I have the green and gray which I know ill work wonders on Aluminum).... Yes..too many options and one broken back that makes me want to do the best job, the fastest. And your method seemed like its the winner. PS. Im polishing the diamond plate on a Matco Custom (the ones with the diamond plate on the front of the drawers. Nice used box that needs to shine)

Hello Evan I have a W900 86"studio what would it cost if I can get up to your shop to pull wheels sand show polished sand shop polish both 150 tanks diamond plate lid on step box diamond plate on 42 inch box top and headache rack with smooth border and diamond plate center. If you do chrome and stainless as well have plenty of that. I would normally do it in my shop but my ex cost me that and everything else about 5 years ago then year after were done cost me $56,500.00 and just can't find good polisher that knows what they are doing anywhere on my runs.

what do you do when you get one with heavy oxidization and pitting? tried cutting with a heavy wheel and super heavy compound, then to heavy, then a softer wheel and so on and it just keeps getting buildup of polish on it and stays dark gray, tried sanding 320-600-800 to help with that and did work for some pitting but no where near just lightly oxidized aluminum. it was acid washed first to remove the oxidation. any ideas? i know wheels, compound, how much is used is all hard to go by but i’ve done tanks, steps, wheels, everything else just fine and with a mirror finish. using a dewalt at 3600rpm when using heavy cut.
