I bought the Renegade kit and was totally lost on what to use in what order. I sure didn't know to not rake the cutting pad. I'm glad you're making these step by step videos for dummies like me. I live to far away from anyone that does professional polishing. So, try to do what I can.

I grew up in a Paint & Body shop with a Trim shop so I know a lot about painting & polishing, however, that does not mean I could not learn something of value from this video and I did concerning how your business operates and what you need to do this. That being said I apply that to my project of stripping a 1975 MCI bus, so thanks for sharing!

Hey Evan , does compound bars ever go bad from sitting for 2-3 years . My green and white compound from zephry I had for a little while wouldn’t take too my buffs . No matter what speed , it would just smooth the bar out and wouldn’t take no compound to my buff

I've heard different information from different folks. What's your opinion on this; when the pad takes a metallic shine on the edge, you're clogged with a lot of metal and need to rake. Is that true or would you say to just load compound over it anyway?

Brown rouge with the orange wheel is used first for the cutting process. Green with the yellow wheel is for the coloring process.

I think that's when I got confused. Even though I didn't thk my tanks needed cutting, I just used the blue compound with the white pad. Before all this, I used the blue metal passe stuff in the jar and my buffing wheel, and my tanks look great. But if I decide to try the compound again, I will try to get all the bars and pads. Thanks Evan

Does buffing equal cutting stage the first step to bring the shine out after using buffing blends / sanding disks? Is polishing the last stage after buffing ( in both cases a compound is used ) ?
@TronVila
@TronVila Жыл бұрын
Yep. Commonly called cut and color. Cut being heavy buffing following sanding (sanding not always required). Color being final polish stages. Typically orange buff brown compound for cut and yellow buff/ green compound for color (polish)

I just purchased this buffer and it does not have the nut that holds that buffer pad on that is on your buffer. was a nut included in your package? What did you do to keep your buffer pad on? If anyone have any suggestions, pls let me know asap. I am ready to see the works of this buffer.

I have videos here on my channel on how to mount a buff. They are very informative. The variable speed buffers don't come with a nut. They would have to be purchased separately. But here is a link to the ones you will need. amzn.to/3S1t4st

Thank you. I sent it back because I didn't know if it was missing a part or not. I purchased the blue compound bar and a white buffer pad. But I couldn't get it to look right, so I gave up.

The buffs are sold on our goshineon.com website. For aluminum tanks use brown bar with orange wheel and green bar with yellow wheel.
