For the nail tip sliding, I'd use the temporary nail stickers for press on nails. It will hold them long enough for what you need them for. That's what we did in cosmetology school.

You definitely did a great job using this polygel for the first time. The set is beautiful. Try using double side tape on the nail bed to help keep the nails in place...

@@amandastewart3011 are you prepping your nails before hand?? you have to push and clean your cuticles, buff your nails to remove any any shine, then use a dehydrator to take off any remaining oils, then do a base coat and after that you add the polygel, do you already do this?

Hey new subbie here, I use cheap double sided tape on the nails on my practice hand. It's just sticky enough to get through a set with no slipping but still really easy to remove when you're ready to. Another option is walk tack (ya know like what you would use to stick the little glow in the dark stars on your ceiling when you were a kid lol) just roll into a tiny ball and put it in the practice hand then press the nail on firmly to flatten it out. Hope this helps.

When you have such a long nail you can use the 2 or 3 ball methode ( from acrylic). You first add a ball of product( polygel) to the length, shape it ,flashcure and then you can go ahead and do the cuticle/ apex area. In this case you dont move the product around.

I honestly think Polygel is easier because you have so much time to work on perfecting it but it’s also time consuming compared to acrylic which is faster to use in my opinion huni ☺️💖

Oh the fake hand actual nail bed? That wasn’t the nail slipping off it was the nail bed. It’s a part that they stick in the finger. The nail bed isn’t attached on this fake hand like some other nail beds are on other fake hands. Just depends.

Maybe you are not prepping your nails right, you have to properly prep them, buff them a little bit to get rid of the shine of your natural nail (just a little bit cause u don't want to damage your natural nail) dehydrate them with a dehydrator or a primer to get rid of the natural oils of the nail, and then proceed with the base coat and so on.

On my red iguana silicone hand I glued down the tip, but then I use full cover tips with glue tabs (like the kind for press ons). I’ve also seen people use carpet tape if the glue tabs aren’t strong enough for them. But for me, The nails stay put and I can remove them easily afterward. Hope that helps 😊
