I use polygel on my nails. One tip I find useful is to prevent the product from sticking to the spatula too much, put a small amount of slip solution on it before scraping it from the tube. Also, use a mirror under your hand to reflect the uv/led light. That way you don't have to cure over and under.

I grew my natural nails for 2 months and they got really long. I was really proud of myself because I had a habit of picking off my nails the second they got long. Yesterday, one broke right down to my nail bed. Because of this, I had to file down alllllll of my nails right down to my nail bed. One of my favourite features is now gone. I know it sounds stupid but I can’t explain how much I cried. My sister, who is blessed with nail art skills and pretty nails and hands, said she’s get me a poly gel kit and give me long nails again. I’m so excited 😆

Dude this literally happened to me 3 days prior. 1st time in my 20 year journey I let my nails grow for 1 and a half months and they were pretty long and I loved them so much, I don't know why but my nail tips gets so white which give the illusion of french tips and everyone adores this feature of mine. But my middle finger nail broke just like yours making me cut and file the rest of the nails, which made me order polygel kit which hopefully will give me back my nails

You can extented the broken nail with a fake nail like with polygel or using press on nails. Then wait till it grows out so you don't have it use it anymore while you still keep your other natural nails.

I use modelones. It's awesome especially for the price and you can get so many sets out of it. Mine usually last over two weeks. Sometimes I just put a layer over my natural nail and they look so real...so much better on the nail than acrylic

Hi, I can't get the base coat to cure. It remains sticky. I buffed my nail. I have a 120w lamp and I cured my nail 3 times at 90 seconds and it still remains tacky. Any help?

I'm currently waiting on my polygel starter kit to arrive and I can't wait! I've been watching every polygel tutorial/review that I can find in preparation lol. I watched a video on the Naio Nails channel about their polygel and the nail artist (Kirsty Meakin, nail goddess) gave a really good tutorial on how to size the dual forms. They're supposed to be a little bigger than your natural nail. Anyway, tfs! Can't wait to try this on my own nails!

@@cat4331 I watched a LOT of these kind of videos first and it was simple. The only issue I had was getting the underside of the nails smooth. I'm thinking about buying either some tips or nail forms to solve that problem for my next set. I've had them on for almost 2 weeks and they're still great! I did break one (totally my fault) and I just replaced it and it matched right up - only took me about 5 minutes tops to get the replacement nail on and done. I did a better job on that one too. I'd say that if you know how to paint your nails, you can do polygel. My friend saw them and she was so impressed that she ordered the same kit that day lol

Great job , especially for a first time! Poly gel can be a great to use but it can have a learning curve, you hit it on the first try! I've used poly gel on my nails but not with Dual Forms, just as an over lay on my own nails, which is harder to do but it does file like butter. The downside is the stickiness, definitely!

Yes its really sticky, and i wasn't a big fan of that either but as soon as i got the hang of it I started feeling when it was about to get dry and sticky, so i just dipped my brush in a little liquid and it worked just fine after that. You should definitely try the dual forms sometime! Im thinking of trying it with gel, but im afraid that the gel is too runny... we'll see!

They look great! You did so well for first time! These are the kind of nails for me 😉 I think that the new file you used might have hurt your skin around nails. It looks painful, I've done it before! If you don't know this tip - always prep/break in any new handfile or e-file sanding band by filing the edges of the new file with a diff file, preferably an older one. It removes the sharp edges that will cut our skin when using new files! Hope that helps! 😊

It will be so much easier to work with especially if you use a bit of iso alcohol too. It will also cut your filing time in half. Your natural nails are so beautiful! Ive been doing nails for about 2 years now and i started off by using dual forms. A little tip is that around ur natural nail, make it thicker so it wont snap off. And around the cuticle, dont make it to thin. you want a smooth transition from cuticle to fake nail.

Try a hard gel (builder gel) it takes a bit more time bc you have to use a nail form but for shorter nails it’s great. I use the Enailcouture Soufflé gel the texture is amazing, easy to use. I use builder gel when I just want a nail that’s a bit longer than my natural nail.

I bought my first kit a couple years back .. and then the rainbow by makart !! Polygel is super versatile !! Love it !! You outdid yourself here .. super plus was that not one stone or bead needed to be added for these to be just stunning as they are!! Love the shape and color!! I lack in filing but you make it look super easy !! Encapsulation is my favorite w polygel !! Great for setting stones too !!

I've been looking into reviews and the most bang for your buck for polygel starter kit I think I'm going to bite the bullet and order the biggest starter kit from the brand rossi... I mean I'm tempted to buy from aliexpress but who knows when it would get to me and if it would even be decent quality or not.. I calculated how much I spend on getting my nails done and it is ridiculous I pretty much do everything else myself my brows hair and everything so might aswell add nails to the mix start saving money!
