This video will give some insights on potting roses. Details on how to prepare the potting mix for planting roses, after care etc. This 2 month old miniature rose is been grown as bareroot and now repotting during this monsoon. Transferring to a slightly larger pot. Potting mix includes equal parts of cocopeat, dried cowdung, garden soil. Red soil and river sand is optional. Compost can be used as a substitute for dried cowdung manure. A handful of neem cake powder to prevent the plant from soil borne diseases. Keep the plant in shade after potting and watering thoroughly.

Hello - No. Sawdust can be used for mulching but not in soil medium. It will absorb plenty of nitrogen and takes a long time to decompose.

It's always good to plant in good quality cement pot or earthen pot. I avoid plastic pots for roses as we keep them in that for long unlike other annuals. Plastic will heat quickly, also water cans can form green moss.

Hello Meenakshi - I think you might have got a koster rose. Those has beautiful pale orange red flowers in bunches, like tiny balls. If you have only one stem and it's drying, difficult to save. Depends on the current condition. Did you trim the dying brown part? What's the height of the plant.

Hello Meenakshi, don't worry its the climate. For me at 33°C itself wasn't opening fully but white Koster is slightly different. Margo koster would do well with cooler weather.
