I think it’s the unique video on KZbin about this topic. Very useful and important! Thanks from Brazil.

Very helpful video. I will now use a powerbank with PD signed 100 W USB C Output and it worked also. Powerbank ZENDURE ZDA8PDP 28,600 mA/h

That usb port in the NPF battery it's meant for low power devices, whilst the main battery output is the high power output which is why the plate is able to power the light. Just for clarification.
@Fitzaey10 ай бұрын
yes, that's why I made the video i just accidentally plugged in the wrong port for a second lol most plates don't work with that light so only the ulanzi works with it since it has dedicated PD output but not the anycine plates since there PD is IN and OUT

Hey man. thank you so much for this video! I love you showed how it works with an NPF battery, but how would you get it to work with a V mount battery?
@raultest54818 ай бұрын
What if you connect the light to an NP-F battery (usb C - out) usb-c to usb-c , without ulanzi battery plate?
@gzarari9 ай бұрын
just wanted to say that you can mount the light on the ronin itself, with some attachement, forgot the name sorry, you don't have to put in on top of your camera. I was having problems finding usb input and i had to take off a yellow warning for it, im using this light for 2 months and i had no ide that i could use usb c lol

I love this video it is very useful I would love to have seen it, before I bought the light i have a smallrig adapter with 7 and 12v output, do you think it would work using the PD port of the light?
@Fitzaey Жыл бұрын
pd allows a higher amps going through with the voltage! It should work as long it’s PD ! 24 volt is the max it can take so less is always better since instead of front the light it just does not power on! What is safer! But 12 volt with higher amps will allow to power on either as 18watts or 30 watts (so the light the decides if it’s enough)

I have the SmallRig VB155. I can say that using the USB C on that battery to light up my Molus x100. It only goes up to 65%.

@@RonaldLadao Thats good to know! i searchedc long for cheap battery but i thought about buying the same battery but was not sure if its worth it! 65% is crazy bright tho i use the light at around 10%

@@Fitzaey I only bought the SmallRig VB155 after seeing a crazy sale on it on Adorama. So I'm like.. f it... I needed a v-mount battery for my BlackMagic 6Kg2. Yet, I was hoping that VB155 battery could go 100% with the Molus x100 in a USB C connection. I don't know if there's a D-tap that I can use for the x100?? (v mount batteries are still foreign to me). But for what I do in photo. I need a good amount of power so I can freeze the action at 1/500 without being excessive with my flash. also, just in case I do need a continuous light because of that one person who have a medical condition when it comes to flash.
@Fitzaey Жыл бұрын
@@RonaldLadao Yeah its tough i was trying to get 100% to and with my v mount options i had 15% lol so that ulanzi adapter was better than my vmount battery kinda crazy... Currently i make my own dome via 3d printing :D since the light is to powerful for my needs!

can you charge the battery grip while using it?

Hey! Thanks for the video o this topic. I've read a lot of reviews complaining about the Zhiyun battery dying after few time, but went on and bought the X100 anyway, because I think its a great light. I decided my battery solution to be a 100 PD power bank and spent 150 bucks on a baseus 140 PD power bank, only to see the main USB-C port didn't power up the X100. The only port that's working lets the light go up to 30%, not 100%.. ¿Has anyone used a power bank that's compatible and allows the light to output the 100W? Could you share the reference with me please?
@jayhawktheatrelivechannel20355 ай бұрын
Swing and a miss... I also found it will not work with the light over 30%, but even then the light turned off after about 10 minutes.
