If you have a stove with a back boiler with the radiators how do you powerwash it

If you are flushing the system when installing a new boiler i think its beter not to go via new boiler becouse we don't want a sludge to circulate thrue it.Can we still do it?Shut all the valves to the boiler ? But then we won't be able to heat the boiler.What is the best practice when you installing or replacing the boiler to new?

Hello! 👋 Best practice is to clean and flush the system on the old boiler, if it still functions. If no circulation is available on the old boiler, a filter installed on the new boiler install (as recommended by BS7593) will ensure that any circulating can be captured on the return before entering the new boiler. Hope this helps! 👍

But then you won't be able to conferences flow function Ian I correct in saying that

If the boiler has a built-in Circulator, would reversing the water flow from the machine damage it, or is it safe?
@sentinelperform3 жыл бұрын
Flow reversal should not damage a circulator. When powerflushing, the boiler should be switched off anyway (so the pump will not be circulating). In our experience, we also see many installers isolating the boiler, so the flow does not go through the boiler too.

Hi there!, So at the end how long should i expect that it takes to do a flushing to a 10 rads house?

Does Sentinel work with aluminum?
@sentinelperform4 жыл бұрын
Yes, Sentinel products are fully compatible with aluminium. Some products, such as X100 Inhibitor, deliver their best results when protecting aluminium.

@@IvanSencovschi due to the ingredients, sometimes the colour of the product can differ. Nothing to worry about the and the product will still do its job 👍

Powerflushing through 10mm isnt good practice. Ideally you would get back to 22mm
@andrewmillwardwatford94105 жыл бұрын
Why ?
@Steve_T144 жыл бұрын
Andrew Millward 10mm Pipe is flimsy and restrictive of water pressure, there wouldn’t be enough pressure going through the system to flush all the gunge out
@Steve_T144 жыл бұрын
Andrew Millward also power flushing using a machine that pressurises the system using its own pump rather than running off the boiler can blow trv’s and create other water leaks
@andrewhayes49148 ай бұрын
What's your thoughts on flushing a system that has 8mms duel entered rad valves, the power flush will be connected to 22mms pipe work at the boiler and a magna cleanes on the return before the boiler, or would you take boiler out of the Intel flush and reconnect the boil once you know all the race are clean, and just send it around the primary and the boiler at the end so all the sludge doesn't go through the heat exchange

What about the rad you took off ?
@sentinelperform7 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter! Thanks for your question. This radiator should be flushed through with mains water using a hose pipe connected to one of the radiator inlets. Kind regards, The Sentinel Team
