To avoid flatspots, try not to slide at a 90 degree angle. You can control the angle by pointing your toes forwards a bit and by keeping your front arm in front of you.

One thing that helped me a lot was to do a “set up” carve first and then slide at an angle while at the apex of the next carve

I can only power slide to a complete stop. Every time I try to break the slide back into my normal stance I fall off. Any tips?

Sounds like you may need some more speed! Focus on getting more speed and really pulling your body and arms back into place after your slide

As you spin your shoulders back to normal bend your knees to let your body weight drop down low to the board. Let me know how it goes after a lot of practice 💙🛹💙
