Another idea: practice the basic strokes and letter formation with a regular (not brush) pen! Part of great lettering is muscle memory, this can be done anywhere with any pen. I really saw progress when I began practicing making consistent ovals and upstrokes at the end of each letter

Lately I haven’t been as active on lettering but I started making KZbin videos so that’s taking priority at the moment, but I still practice when I can!!

@chickadee9155 жыл бұрын
@@Ana-xp9hs no offense but you make it sound snarky. Like that English teacher I had who used to give me bad grades for writing with my left until I complained about it to the school board. And they switched classes on me.

Well what I do is put the paper slant on its slide and then write. I am too a leftie.
@chickadee9155 жыл бұрын
@@mayrahernandezgarcia1677 I've tried that but you see Im very particular when it comes to paper. I hate smudges, rips or tears it makes me want to start over on something. And when I would tilt it my papers would get messed up and that would make me upset/stressed. Frankly I have no idea why I obessed on it but it makes my art/skteching stressful sometimes. In a way ig I'm a perfectionist ?
@charliespinoza19665 жыл бұрын
I think I do all of these! I keep pens and a small notebook with me for practice on the go, do fauxligraphy with pencil on the go as well for letter form practice, keep supplies by the couch with worksheets, and have my favorite pens at the ready! Having a clipboard ready with paper, a ruler, eraser, and pencil inspires me to start or continue with whatever project I’m working on.
