When I heard that copying doesn't make my calligraphy better, it actually helped me creating one font out of many fonts combined lol. But I do consider the letters if they go with the alphabet

I have the 26 ways to A worksheet. I seem to have lack of control when it comes to the downstrokes and upstrokes. I have Tombow brush pens, but I'm not sure if I need another brand.

It definitely will help to try another brand! Maybe try a smaller nib like Pentel Touch or Tombow Fude. It’s good to find the pen that works best for you!

It depends on what pens you’re using! If you’re using brush pens you want something smooth enough that your brush pens don’t fray.

It could be the type of paper you’re using! The koi are great as watercolor but if used on watercolor paper, they will fray quickly.
