Lovely video content! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Riddleagan Smart Hands Remedy (do a search on google)? It is an awesome one off guide for learning piano fast minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 finally got excellent results with it.

Thanks Jonny! These are great tools. In all my years of playing this approach is revolutionary!Soloing has always been my weakest area so when I listen to the jazz greats I always wonder what did they practice to be so great and what really is the "language of jazz".

Since I learned piano for about a year as a child 40 years ago I always have lived with piano, I tried a lot of famous pieces of composers from the many sonatas up to Hungarian Rhapsody of Franz Liszt by myself. but now feel that only left some arpeggios, some chords like triads, diminished and major, minor scales to me. 20 years ago I tried Jazz piano. but from the first page there're only tons of stacked chords and confusing scales, so I gave up. After I meet your channel , I begin to have some hope that I can learn and play jazz music. Jonny , Thanks for sharing your great talent ! I won't give up this time :D

You explained modes better than any of the resources I had available to me (my directors, other music instructors, and tutorial books) in the first 4 minutes . To be honest, I still had no idea what the modes really were until now. I'm already nearly 10 years into music and I started trying to learn Jazz my 2nd year in.

Jonny, an element of understanding modes, thus teaching modes, is the W/H step pattern progression as you move through the modes, giving each mode its unique flavor. As soon as I understood that, I had a foundation for further understanding the application..so it may be helpful to others...

The saxophone player Phil Woods has a similar exercise where you go up scales the traditional way but in going down you skip notes which would be like major or minor thirds and each time progress up one note from the bottom in going up again.

I think you should say that you need a paid membership for the sheet music. The video says you can "find it" below, but you don't provide it for free. A free example in C would complement the video and still preserve the market for your smart sheets.
