How To Practice the Drums | WITH A METRONOME!

I've been playing for over half a century. I've never stopped using a metronome. It's like the conductor of an orchestra. It relieves the player of some of the concentration necessary to stay in time. If your rhythm starts to wander withOUT a metronome, you have no reference to help you "get back" into the meter. But turn the click on, you've got the perfect drummer that never varies in time.

Is 4/4 better to Practice using metronome on drums or 1/4?? For beginners? 60bpm speed to start ?

You can do either one, and 60bpm is a great place to start! Try 60, 80, 90, maybe even 100!
