𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 was born in Sri Lanka and ordained at the age of 11. In 1984, he received his higher ordination. Venerable Seela served as Vice President and Vice Abbot of Bhavana Society in West Virginia, US from 2011 to 2016. He is fluent in English, Pali and Sanskrit, and is skilled in teaching Buddhism and meditation to both novices and lay practitioners.
