I started using this breviary here in Ireland as it is used by our clergy. This is the most easy to use breviary, which includes a beautiful prose and poetry section. The hymns are grail translation (to my recollection), and in my opinion, the most beautiful translation available of the psalms in the English language. It's compact and very easy to use.

This is my go-to with daily prayer! It's an excellent resource from beginners - I wish there was a second book for the Office of Readings that I could use alongside. Although it does have a couple of errors, and there are some differences between this and (for example) universalis (for example: this book insists on using Sunday Week 1 for every feast day). I'm not sure if that's because of updates to the LoTH since it was published, or this is just a 'simpler' version. Regardless, I'd highly recommend this if you can find it

@@framebot I think Sunday Week I is for simplicity’s sake

We'd genuinely use week 1 in most orders the hours here in Ireland, but it's not something "set in stone."

After your last video on this prayer book, I was going to purchase the Collins Daily Prayer one volume version, whiich is the equivalent of the one volume Christian Prayer. Unfortunately, its temporarily out of print. So, I purchased the Collins Morning and Evening Prayer. This is exactly what I want! I put it in a prayer book cover with a pouch big enough to.put a Catholic Prayer Book. If I want to pray Prime, I use the Little office of Baltimore or the Manual of Prayer for the day hours. Otherwise, Morning and Evening is all I need. Thanks for this video.

Lovely video. These are really helpful resources, and honestly sometimes I just leave them running as background noise lol. You make good and helpful stuff, and you always respond to our comments, so I just wanna say thank you. I was wondering if you would like to review the Confessions of St Augustine, specifically the edition by Catholic Book Publishing Co? Thanks! And keep up the good work. God bless.
