Is Baptist a Protestant faith? I’m Church of England - but I love Catholic traditions and rituals. I’m so enjoying learning the prayers in Latin with Dr Marshall. Satan apparently hates Latin. I think it pleases Jesus whenever we pray. I don’t think he minds if we borrow each other’s ways on our journey. Whatever truly brings us closer. I hope you continue to draw closer in Jesus’ name and that you inspire others to do the same by the light they see in you.

Dear friend, prayer beads were taken from ancient pagan religions... it is paganism and ungodly to pray on them, or to pray to anyone other than God, or Jesus. Please, pray directly to God & understand the Bible teaches that if you pray on a "thing" (like prayer beads) or to a person (like Mary or a saint) you are using & praying to an IDOL, and idols are an abomination to God. Read your Bible, it clearly states this. Please depend on reading God's word, not what man tells you because there are many agendas in man's plan, plus man's flesh is corrupt & sinful. You know this, and the corruption is rampant in Catholic church. Reading the Bible is the ONLY way to know God's truth and understand His will. The Catholic church has practices & idols that are NOT of God. Did you know in many of the Vatican Easter services they SUNG TO LUCIFER?? Look it up, videos are on utube. The Vatican also esteems many, many pagan Gods throughout it's building, and has underground chambers, one with an image of Lucifer. You can look this up, too. God abhors paganism! He also abhors Lucifer & devi1 worship! No building of God would have ANY of these symbols of paganism or Lucifer, period. They have fooled / brainwashed many, & masses simply just follow like robots and do not really look into what they are following. They dont look into the Catholic church and compare the teachings to what God's teachings are in the Bible. If the people did, they would find many ungodly teachings in that church. May God open your eyes, bless you with CRITICAL THINKING skills, help you find God's Truth and "Come Out Of Her". I solemnly pray you will not encounter God rejecting you at the Gates Of Heaven for following this anti_christ church, and may you not hear Him say "I never knew you". Please study that scripture. This is a matter of your salvation. The Catholic church is full of practices that are OF MAN, and NOT OF GOD. I pray you are blinded no more, that you run from Catholicism, and that you run directly to God & His Words through the Bible. The road to Salvation is narrow..it is not thru a priest, the Vatican, saints, Mary, beads, idols, or works. Salvation is thru Jesus Christ, repentance & forgiveness of sins thru Him (not a man/priest), & living a life for Him. I hope & pray this message helps you with discernment & to understand ways you have been misdirected in that specific church system, that this helps you to see the Truth of God's Word, helps you accept the Light of Jesus, and drops the scales from your eyes so you can begin to walk the path towards true salvation & have the desire to read the Bible so you can directly understand God's Word & His desires for your life.

I am in that space too. I was Catholic convent (Irish orders in England) educated, and knew nothing but kindness and the occasional eccentric nun. No one ever came close to abuse, though they could be quite strict. Church of England is completely taken over by ‘liberals’ - or ‘heretics’ as some call them. When they refused to ordain Calvin Robinson, I knew I could not be part of this church any more. It’s a hollow feeling. I studied with Jehovahs Witnesses for a year during Covid, but I think they have it wrong. Claiming such elitism doesn’t sound very meek imho. And there was too much Armageddon and hardly any Jesus at all. Nice people though. I think Jesus wants us to focus on his teachings and try our best to emulate him. Prayers bring us closer. I do rather miss congregation. The Catholic’s rituals and customs are important and I like the idea of faith in action. And now…. I really want a rosary and to learn the Latin prayers. I hope you find what helps you the most and that you are safe and well.

Hello, it is helpful to use the New Testament when praying the rosary. An example would be during the Joyful Mysteries go to the gospel of Luke and read a verse for each Hail Mary. When I first started praying the Rosary, it was incredibly hard for me to just sit still and pray. I realized this was because I have become so used to being distracted by my computer or phone or even just my thoughts about things I needed to do. For the first month, I would get up while praying and multi-task-that's how hard it was to sit still. As time went on, I forced myself not to immediately react to a thought and to instead use discipline to just SIT AND BE STILL. It took a while but now I am more than able to sit and pray and can focus on the particular Mystery I am praying. It was a GREAT lesson in Obedience and Discipline both of which I have always struggled with. Now I am able to do the same when it comes to other areas of my life-to think before I do instead of being such a REACTOR. I have finally learned how to "Just Be" with myself and the Lord. Good luck. If I could do it, I KNOW you can.

Although I know how to pray the Rosary, I watched the video. I was curious if everything is the same as I do, and it is. I am also glad that you did not mention the 4. mystery prayed on thursday, the one introduced by Holy John Paul II. I also still pray the "old traditional" way. But I noticed that many people pray the 4. too (at least in Croatia). About "seasonal", as you mentioned it, we have in Croatia a "tradition", during Advent we pray the Joy mystery, during Lent the "Sorrow" and after Easter till all the "Sundays after Pentacost" the Glorious. Some people pray during the month of May and October the "Joyful". But the main rule is how you described, based on which day it is in the week. One detail though, I pray on Sunday always the Glorious, as it is always the reminder of the Resuraction of Christ (this I was told by a Catholic priest), no matter which "season" of the year it is. In the end though, I think that our intention is the most important thing, because if we pray f. e. Joyful on a wrong day, because we thought it is thursday, while it is wednesday, I do not think that our Lady is sad. One thing though I learned today from you, to hold the Cross in my right arm when I make the Sign. Meaning holding the cross with my arm I am making the sign. Till now I was holding it in my left arm and with my right I made the Sign. Thank you for this detail. Also, you mentioned that some people kiss the Cross. Yes, I do that, but when I finish praying the Rosary, I make again the Sign and then I kiss the Cross. Finaly, thank you for this video, as it comes super on time, as 08th of August is feast of Saint Dominik, who, I believe first introduced the Rosary, and it is also the Nameday of my son Dominik. God bless Dr. Marshall and all of you dear people. PS: Is it in the USA also that in the church before the mass starts, people pray together the Rosary? I think it is beautiful, and therefore I always come half an hour earlier to pray together with others. Not all of the people do it, but it is tradition in Croatia.

That is a beautiful tradition, to pray the mysteries according to the season! At my church we pray the rosary together after Sunday mass and also on First Fridays after mass, during Adoration.

As well as the Feast of St Dominic, today, 8th August is also the Feast of St Altman! He lived in the 11th century. Maybe someone could let OUR Fr Altman know that we have yet another Saint to ask for intercession to Heaven for him.
@katarina.jurisic3 жыл бұрын
@@katperson7332 after reading your comment, I went searching for Altmann on the internet. Indeed, he was in the 11th century a Bishop of Passau in Germany, in which centuries later was born and baptized pope Bendedict XVI. Altmann is venerated as a saint, but an official canonization never took place. Thank you dear Kat for your comment.
@katperson73323 жыл бұрын
@@katarina.jurisic Thanks! I’ve just read some more about him and you’re correct about official canonisation not taking place. He seems to have been an interesting , even a controversial person nevertheless!

Thank you Dr Marshall! This video is highly instructive and well thought out! I am sure, i am not alone and my appreciation of your work. We need to defend our religious traditions in the face of those who seek to water down and denude us of our faith.

The way I was taught after the first 3 Hail Mary’s the Glory Be is said in between the last Hail Mary bead and the last bead.On this bead the First Mystery is announced and the Our Father is said.After all 5 decades The Hail Holy Queen is said on the metal fixture

During the apparitions in Akita (Japan- 1973-1981), recognized by the Church, our Mother Mary told Sister Agnes that the only weapons that will remain for us will be the Rosary and the Sign left by her son (the Holy Cross). She asked us to pray for the pope, bishops and priests. Please continue to pray and do not allow yourself to be stripped of your only weapons against evil.

When you teach the Rosary in Latin, could you please include "My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee! I ask for forgiveness for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love Thee!". That it is to my understanding, another Fatima Prayer that follows, "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy Mercy.". Thank you; I appreciate it.

I was taught that the first three Hail Marys after the Creed were in honor of the Blessed Trinity. The first one to honor the Father, second one to honor the Son and third one to honor the Holy Ghost.

I also add the Acts Of Faith, Hope, & Charity, consecutively before the Ave Maria. Even though the Credo is our profession of Faith, the Acts re-affirms it.

Great presentation! The only thing I do different is that I assign intentions to specific decades rather than the rosary as a whole or to individual beads. I also conclude by saying the Hail Holy Queen, the "Oh God, whose only begotten Son..." and the Sign of the Cross. I did buy your Rosary book by the way and it was very informative. Thanks!

While you were explaining, a thought came to me about Jesus in the temple when he was 12, lost for 3 days, and then found by Mary and Joseph. It seems to be a "type" of his burial and resurrection, being about His Father's business. It was just a quick thought. Thank you for this teaching about the rosary.

I heard of an alternate way of praying 5 different psalms, each day, on the decades, in place of the announcing of the mysteries...which gets you through the entire psalter in a month, or twelve times a year.

Thank you so much for this. I’m not Catholic but I pray and there are at least 5 rosaries in my house and I wanted to learn to pray the Rosary. Edit: I was Baptized in the Methodist Church & I recited the Apostle’s Creed during that ceremony & I also pledged to the Holy Roman Catholic Church if I remember correctly(it was a long time ago).

My understanding of the Rosary is that on a Thursday you do pray the Luminous Mystery and the final prayer is "O God whose only begotten Son......." which is said after the Hail Holy Queen. Both of which I was rather surprised you missed out altogether.
