Do you need to set the damper shaft in the open position before powering up? As the actuator will automatically spring return..what if you have the damper shaft/blades on the closed position? Cheers

You always want to perform the pre-tensioning with the damper closed and set the actuator in the closed position without the actuator being powered. Once that is set, you should power it up, and the actuator will go to its commanded position.

Hi we have same actuator and it makes a very loud winding noise when we turn off or turn on the AC. Is this normal?

some noise maybe, very loud noise I would not think is normal

@@Joe_Mission it will make a winding noise. Loud would maybe indicate lose parts inside actuator or possibly the kit the actuator is controlling has loose or faulty parts.
