Chris If you put a green base before the red color, it is easier and faster to cover the patch, try it some day. Greetings.

What's the most reasonable base coat clear coat Supply shops are Getting really high Oreily only carries duplicolor here... ?
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
Oreillys also caries upol clearcoat so does Amazon and and it is very inexpensive like 60 for a gallon of clear and the activator. Its actually a good inexpensive clearcoat.

Very good. Which spray gun is used for clear coat?
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
I used the Iwata kiwami

I want to know what you think about the Finish 1 clear coat. I have 3 gallons on hand and have been playing with one of them so far on my practice door. I tried the kiwami at 30 psi and had more orange peel that I liked so went for the prolite at 29 psi and came out better. I am curious what you see with the kiwami and the Finish 1.

I'll be using finish 1 in the next video

Hi i enjoy the channel,I have a question do you get your work through an insurance agent or just word of mouth? Thanks.

Will this work painting in heat and humidity? I was planning on using a slow reducer on the basecoat because it'll be midsummer by the time I get to painting. It seems counterintuitive to use a fast clear in that situation. Any thoughts?
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
I used slow reducer as well. The only reson to use a faster dying clear is if you need to get it done quickly. Maybe it's your daily or your needing to get it back to the customer the same day, or you want to limit the trash that lands in clear. As long as you let the basecoat cure before you clear it . Then you ok using a faster drying clear . Thanks for the support.

Just got that Astro Hvlp. I have a HS clear says 35psi u know if the gun handle that. And I’ll try the 22 for base and fluid nozzle like u said. How. Did you like holding gun spraying
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
35 is a little much for that gun probably don't need that much psi. It'll do 30 tho.

I have a question , how to store leftover clear ?
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
No way to store clear that's been mixed.
@LuisC2022 жыл бұрын
No way. You store it in the trash as it will cure after mixed with activator.

Why did you changed to 800 grit instead of 600
@GarageNoise2 жыл бұрын
600 or 800 for clear prep are interchangeable. I just happened to pick up some 800 grit foam pads to see how I like them. Appreciate the support!
