Great video. I own this gun and it's the best I've ever owner. It is not a "low volume, low pressure" gun, though. It is a HIGH volume, low pressure gun (HVLP).
@GarageNoise14 сағат бұрын
It is a great gun. It's definitely not an hvlp, if you compare it to an hvlp by set psi the same on both guns you quickly be able to tell it consumes a lot less air.

this might be a stupid question. how did you determine if you needed to blend the truck bed to the cab? but as always an awesome video.

Better if they didn't pre reduce it, huge difference between 50° and 100°f, that's asking a little too much of a universal product.
@phillipgonzalez5407Күн бұрын
You mean you did .5 reducer because you didn't want it to be a sealer ?
@GarageNoiseКүн бұрын
4:1 is high build 4:1:1 is primer surfacer and 4:1:2 is sealer I mixed 4:1: .5 so it's inbetween a high build and a surfacer

I have been following you for a while and have bought pretty much all the equipment that you suggested and it helped a lot. My question is for FC710 & FC720 dieback. The paint lays down like glass but couple of hours later the gloss is not there anymore.
@GarageNoiseКүн бұрын
Die back is typically from waiting too long in-between coats of clear. It's funny I got some today because it's so hot 99° the first coat of clear cures so quickly. In hot temps you may only need to wait a minute before you apply the second coat.

So let’s say if a bumper is good, has no damage or chips I’m gonna sand it down with 600 then add base coat then clear coat? Love your videos!!
@GarageNoise2 күн бұрын
Yes, if rhe bumpers in good shape you just need to sand for adhesion of base. Appreciate your comment

There's some professional paint guy out here who used a LVLP sprayer with a 3-Gallon compressor and painted an entire car without stopping and it turned out great. Yes, the compressor was constantly running.

Why do paint video guys have to say "go ahead" so much? I'm gonna go ahead and tint the sealer, then I'll go ahead and apply the first coat. Great videos but please stop the "go ahead".

@@GarageNoise LOL. Just trying to be constructive and not an A-H. The content is great, the presentation is very good and the usefulness to we DIYers is top notch, but less "go aheads" and its past tense brother "went ahead" would make the vids even better.

Why would you sand down with anything finer then 3,000grit ?
@GarageNoise3 күн бұрын
Sometimes I'll use 5000. When using 5000 it's almost like you starting the polishing process it starts to give it a shine, makes it so simple to buff. It's not absolutely necessary you can easily buff after 2000 or 3000
@randabuffer65623 күн бұрын

Scfm= standard cubic feet per min it’s a measurement in standard but when used in the air compression industry it’s commonly used to boost the rating of compressor unfortunately low cost consumer compressors are very deceptive in the marketing.
@GarageNoise3 күн бұрын
Yeah I always thought it ment sustained cubic feet but the found it was standard. Just try to make it confusing for consumers.

Crazy my white 17' Frontier has the same identical paint peel on the hood. Also my roof rain gutters have had the sealer pull away from the pannel and are now starting to rust. Every panel has some small blister or adhesion issue on the edges. This really should be a class action suit against Nissan. Off topic what makes auto body clear fog up and peel on many repaints I've seen?
