When using a school laminator, I cut three 2-inch long thin vertical holes in the center of the file folder along the fold. I just cut along the fold so there are three thin holes. This helps to keep air bubbles out. It allows the laminate to seal to itself and keeps things sealed better. I try to make them about 1/8 inch wide but it's usually between 1/8 and 1/4 inch wide.
