If you want to prolong the life of your chain and have your drive train run very well it is worth doing!

I use paint thinner to clean my chains but after some research it can cause cancer if its continious exposure and it is insanely toxic but the reason why I use it is because it is insanely cheap and works so well but I think spending a bit more money can save my health in the long term

I have been using white spirit but recently it’s becoming increasingly difficult to dispose off. My local rubbish dump won’t take it now and it’s super hard to book a home collection. Plus I’m doing this all in my flat as don’t have an outside space, for me this makes sense and recently I learnt that I can pour it through a coffee filter to reuse.

Chains don't actually stretch. The pins and rollers wear, that is what you are measuring.
