We cleared our beds a few weeks ago. Planted Zucchini, cucumbers, green beans and butternut squash. Those are all doing well in the prolonged heat. Peas emerged but are stunted and will need to replanted when it cools off a bit. Thanks!

I'm so happy they are helpful for you! I'm actually on a team with the University of Arizona working on some school gardening publications to help teachers and school staff with starting and maintaining school gardens. That will be coming out soon. Good luck with your garden!

Hey Kara, I am harvesting the last of the inground items onions and potatoes ect. I brought in loads of manure, compost and sand which I mix with some peat. I get the onion beds and potatoes beds amended now and when the leave fall I rake all of them onto the beds for the winter. I get my garlic planted in about 10 days and will cover them with 4-5 inches of straw. The straw and leaves are for mulch and covering the ground for insulation. In the spring I rake the leaves away and put them in circular chicken wire fence so they will turn into leaf mold to amend the beds in the fall again. It is a cycle every year. In the spring once the leaves are off it is ready to plant right away. I live in Minnesota and the growing season is short. Really nice video today thank you for sharing the video today. Peace and blessings, Steven

I don't think we will get a fall garden in this year. We have been busy on our new property getting trees into the ground and setting up the irrigation system. But we do have tomato and pepper plants in pots that just might produce for us this fall. We are also loving this cooler weather. What a long hot summer it has been.

Sounds like you've got a big project! I'm sure it will be worth skipping the fall garden once it's finished. At least you've got a few plants in pots!

Love your channel, I have learned so much from you and when to do what in Tucson. Can you point me to a review of how to prep an in-ground bed? I have raised b3ds and containers and want to try in ground. Thank you!

I'm so glad it's helpful for you! I have an older video showing how I started my in ground beds. If you scroll down to my earliest videos, you can find it. It's called Vegetable Gardening in Arizona: Easy Tips for Success. Here is the link. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJOqqYd7nKhjos0
