A pet project I have going is learning to use a traditional quill pen and ink, and I am mastering round hand, which was the script used in the 18th century. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you are engaged with life and not passively receiving someone else’s creations. of course, all of this takes time and some of it is slow going. I’m not talking being a slave to materialistic madness…I’m talking about having the financial resources to cover and ENHANCE your lifestyle. BE HONEST with yourself, your talents, abilities, goals. And that includes any college and major. It also includes ANY business you work for. Next, WORK your ass off for the next 40 years, the goal during being asset accumulation and debt elimination. BUDGETING, financial planning, etc. is required. Find something that you have a passion for…that also supports your life. Strongly liking or loving a job, career, or industry REALLY makes a difference in the working years. When you’re young, learn to lean in- and say Yes! To TRY. When you’re older, learn to say NO!

Loved listening to this woman. I’m a bit younger but I had similar experiences growing up. My sister and I had lots of freedom. We would be outside every chance we got, we walked everywhere. We had to be home when the street,lights came on or when my dad whistled for us. I was taking public transportation to my school when I was in the fifth grade. I also remember the ration books during the war. My dad served in the navy. Thankfully he came home

An exceptional interview ! Love the insightful old soul-young man who interviews, and the 94 year old woman who shares her wisdom. Very respectful of each other. Maybe there is some hope for humanity with good people who stand up. Otherwise the deadbeat zombies who blindly follow without any original thoughts will takeover the intellectual landscape.

I am just short of 70 and I agree with her statement. My experience has been that those who should accept and love you the most let you down, some by small degrees and others in life changing ways. If you are a giver, yet still have self tespect or inherently know right from wrong, you end up cutting them off as easier and better for your soul to be olone. Other people also, in my experuence are either fickle or out for themselves Only my husband has loved me deeply and liked me, accepted me and wholeheartedly done the right by me. My younger brother who died in January., whilst a very different person to me, I know loved me also. I miss him

She looks great for 94. She is very mentally sharp also. My aunt passed away this August at 105 years old. She was very mentally sharp, lived alone until she passed away. About 7 months before passing she wasn’t able to walk any more. An assistant came and bathed her, brought her meals, gave her medicine and moved her from bed to recliner, then in evening back to bed. I talked to her on the phone almost every day. She was an amazing, phenomenal woman. She loved God and her family. She had one daughter, who passed away about 5 years ago, and had 9 children, who had children, and grandchildren. She was ready to go home to God and, said he wasn’t ready for her yet. I miss her.

When my grandmother died, I asked her what advice she had for me. I was 28. She said “avoid men, all they will do is take from you and bring you heartbreak, find a couple of really good female friends that you trust and make that your family”.
@heide-raquelfuss5580Ай бұрын
She is right. I can attest this. I am 54 years. Wasted my life on finding a real friend as a man. Discovered that a dog will allways be the real friend. Men cost me $$$, heartbreak, nasty outcomes, losing everything, my health, lots of years, my future, my functioning, sleep, having to move a lot ( losing again $$$ ), chronic instability, lost my only chance to an own appartment, etc. Your grandmother is right.

@heide-raquelfuss558 Women find dissatisfaction in relation when they become bossy and tries to dominate men in relationships. No man wins in the divorce court.
@heide-raquelfuss558026 күн бұрын
@steveobeng4444 I know many women who end up poor in divorces also and their lives will be miserable in all ways and forms. In reality, a woman and the children lose. There are no much winners. Btw. Many men choose a wrong woman. Because men choose seldom a woman, using their gut instincts, intelligence, rational wisdom. Many men only choose a woman because of their primal instinct and are not really bright when it comes to a deeper level of understanding how a woman 'ticks'. Not to mention allmost all people choose a parter, who has the same traits like their mother/father and choose the partner where they feel at 'home' again, where they feel..., oooh...this feels familiar. If you come from a household, many dinamics will get repeated in your relationships. Both women and men fall in this 'trap'. Not only once, but many times, until they see their own childhood patterns. Many men, with absent fathers or present avoidant fathers, or fathers who left and ran away, etc..., this boys cary lots of hurt, strong feelings, even hate, revenge and become passive aggressive or outwardly aggressive towards women and damage the relationship, because this hurt boys will act out on the person who is the closest and a woman/men will get damaged, even killed... It is complex. But in reality in a divorce the woman gets mostly not much and will have a miserable life, together with the children. She will also allmost NEVER meet a potential partner anymore and if she does it seems also a toxic partnership and there are men who target single mothers because of shite reasons. Look, men think women allways WIN in a divorce. In Belgium and other countries, i see not much women WIN. THEY loose if they divorce and loose if they stay. They have to choose between miserable options.

well, just because ur grandma (god rest her soul) seems that she was a 'man hater' doesn;t mean that all men are actually this!..by the way, u can find some 'really good female friends' (extremely difficult by the way) until one day they're not 'really good female friends' anymore for Galore reasons, anyways hope this helps kid!
