Growing up in the north I always just ate turnip, what you call bottoms. I had heard of turnip greens but never had them. This year we grew turnip for the very first time and decided I was not going to waste those greens. Loved listening to your video. I'm going to have to try cooking up some greens this year. Thank you.

Looks so yummy. My grandmother used to cook greens and turnips together that way. You are not boiling the nutrients away if you save the liquid and simmer rather than hard boil. The nutrients are in the liquid. I will have to try the smoke turkey neck. Thank you!!

Thankyou lol my gma is 80 now and I've never got turnips mustard and collards from the local farm like she does ... I always eat them when she buys and cooks them... and she dropped me off some to do it myself and I didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't pay attention growing up to know what to do with it 😅🤣

I live in Japan and I have had no greens at all in years. I went to this store they are super high priced and I saw these turn up huge and the leaves are like 3feet long . and I was like that turnip greens 2 USD well, it is about 1,50 USD 6 of them. and no one buying them so, I had to look it up. and now, I know they are. haha. and I finding the seeds the grower to say hey man. I want some seeds why? no one wants these. I do, and after that, they will know and after it will never be 200yen the is like 1.50 cents and the turnip is huge. I will take a pic of them. they like what is that. I am like is that what I think it is? 6 and the babies there sitting. I am like okay after I look I am going back and get all of them, Yes, mine they are all mine lol veggies are different here they grow huge! know, they, might have collards and just throw away I see some growth and I am like that is greens. they do not know but, I am like I have to be friendly hey neighbor what is that do you eat the leaves. no! can I have them, are you crazy. no here take it. I am like he hehe
