The aspects of tournament fishing is important and huge. I love the fact that You include care of the bass. I hope a lot of others tournaments anglers do that for the bass? Great stuff Mikey.

I don't fish tournaments but I do retie and change up b4 going out. Easier than doing on water. Grab and go, you have to retie enough regardless. Remember your post b4 on all the dead 3-7lb after a tourney on Guntersville?

I had the same trouble with my pfd when i stored it in the boat. i started putting it in my truck when i wasnt using it.

Hi bog , luckily I live in a florida canal get out a 6 am with my shepherd / st bernard mix for about 2 hours in the morning. Then drop her off at the dock and head back out . I wish gwen was as good as Bogvon the boat but she is still a pup 11 months so there is hope

I fill my live well up with well water before each tournament. Then treat it with GJuice or similar & put 7lbs of ice in. When they get released they are graduating a health & wellness program lol

Mike, I keep an exstra camera in a ziploc bag in my cooler as they overheat, I rotate them into the cooler. I do the same with my phone.

Foam noodles are good just make sure they’re not the cheap ones that leaves debris in the livewells Saw a vid Bradley Hallman put out where the debris from the cheap foam noodles clogged the filters in his live well and all his fish died. So just be aware of that as well.

What does use to mount your cull tag board in the live well? Do you use the screws that come with it or what they look like they will go through lid

Folks check your filters too make sure they’re not clogged. Me and my buddy Danny learned the hard way w the Mayfly hatch completely covered those filters. Fish were fine the entire day then died within the last hour because the filters got clogged with Al those May flies and regurgitated parts. Not sure if there was stuff on them prior to that but regardless make sure your filters are clean. It was terrible for the fish and cost us placing in the money too. That was a really shitty day.

I never pre-fish due to the fact 95% of the tournaments I do are on the same lakes every year. we just switch the time of year we fish them. But yes I pre rig 2 days before every tournament

I clean my livewells with Dawn dish soap before a tournament. Peace of mind.

Hey, what did you think of the 2025 MLF rules about FFS and 360. Can't use in practice and only 1 time of the 3 periods in tournaments. The angler gets to choose which period. Got this from Jacob Wheeler's latest video. What do you think???????????
